Comfortable room with basic amenities. Very quiet and peaceful

The room was very spacious and clean. The quality of the vanity and cabinets were ok. What was really annoying was that the kettle was too tall to fill up from the sink, it really was a struggle. On the plus side, the motel is very well located on the foreshores and a only a short walk to the restaurants and shops. All in all, pretty good.

Room smelt musty and pillows and linen had an odur that was not normal. Visible mould on the cement walls. Shower floor was like a sink hole with no flat surface to stand on. Avoid at all costs!

The room is big and the staff is very patient and supportive. But the quilt is too thin and it will be very cold at night.

Heyfield has all you need for a motel stay - good parking, comfortable bed, bedside lamp, small table and chairs. The room is large and spacious (as is the bathroom) and it's on the main Esplanade and close to all Lakes Entrance has to offer.
There was a problem with the fridge with temperature control as it was set too high (presumably for the freezer component to work) but that meant the complimentary milk was frozen and unusable for tea/coffee.
I did like the provision of a door wedge for added security. I wish other motels had these as it certainly felt a bit safer for a solo traveller.

The carpets were showing their age though, and the kitchen has a limited number of pots/knives etc. There is a tiny 2 burner oven combo, and microwave etc, so you can self cater in smaller quantities, but there is a bbq right outside.

She worked so hard with little or no help. The new owners are keen to renovate and upgrade the property. Simon will be the new manager, a very personable young man and will be taking care of things for his family who now own Heyfields. The location is great as you can walk to everything. Parking is on site and included in the price. Although advertised as having laundry facilities that was not the case as the laundry was only for the linen for the motel. The one bedroom apartment unit is spacious but limited cooking facilities. However, we managed. Lakes Entrance is a great place to stay and we met some very nice people at the Motel. Thank you Mandy for all you did for us and good luck for your future and good luck to Simon as well.

The property is located at a wonderful location, close to water bodies and walkable to shopping, dining and scenic cruises etc. Staff are very friendly, check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Driving space in the premises is less.

Great motel for a stop over. It had a pool, which was a plus for my kids to cool down. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
