Large apartment. Nice to have so much space to relax and enjoy some food. Close to many attractions and food options. Groceries one block away.

The room and location were very good. Communication with manager was a challenge as we did not have a phone number of the manager. On the confirmation of the reservation we only had a phone number of the property owner. Therefore when we called to try to get some changes made, we were told by the owner, "That's not my problem, that is your problem. I cannot do anything about that." We were shocked by the attitude and lack of willingness to try to resolve the issue. When we finally checked-in the mgr said our request for a change was no problem but by then we were really unhappy about the owner's response and attitude. Advice to hotels.com, is make sure the confirmation that comes from the hotel has the correct number for contact.

Even after we fixed the bed (see below) the mattress sagged and was strangely short, about 4 inches/10 cm shorter than is standard. In addition the lighting in the room was dim even by French standards and there were odd smells (sewer, mustiness, oil paint) that came and went. The bathroom was spotless but the kitchen was dirty, especially the floor. When we went to bed the first night, we realized there was a crater on one side of the bed. As there is no on site staff, we had to wait around the next day until someone showed up to check in a guest. They didn’t check our bed to see what the problem was and wanted €50 for us to move to a different room. Obviously they figured we were complaining about the saggy mattress not a “real” problem. When packing up to move rooms we looked under the bed to make sure nothing had fallen under it, and noticed the slats had come off the railing. So we dragged the mattress off and fixed it. No apology or recognition of our inconvenience. Not hell on earth but we would not stay here again. There is no shortage of options in Arles.

Beds were very comfortable, clean towels and AC cooled the rooms off in no time. 2 grocery stores right across the street. Staff were very friendly, helpful and wonderful to have on sight laundry available for guests after 7. We fell in love with Arles and will certainly be back to Le Residence!

Excellent value in a perfect location! The spacious suite has a full kitchen, modern bathroom with good water pressure, and a comfortable bed. Wonderful linens! It felt like a home versus a hotel. It was nice to have the optional parking garage as we had a car for this trip.

Lovely one bedroom flat. Very beautifully decorated and equipped but I caution people with mobility issues to avoid it as has two spiral staircases. Otherwise excellent and in a convenient place for exploring Arles.

We loved our stay in Arles! Property is exactly as described, less of a hotel and more like live-in apartments. We wish we could have stayed longer to truly experience staying at the property and Arles. Communication was easy, the property was comfortable, and we would recommend this place! Would stay again!!

Beautiful property, ideal position and delightful, helpful owners

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, very close to the centre of Arles. The owner Philippe was efficient and perhaps a little abrupt. Arles had some lovely areas and others were a little run down. Restaurants were average and geared towards tourists. Some only take cash! We asked for a glass of champagne at two different bars and they gave me Prosecco (at champagne prices)! Not good.

The property was very clean and exactly what we wanted. The manager was very helpful and the location was perfect. 10 minutes walk maximum to all the attractions in the town. Lovely place.

Superb. Host was very accommodating. Apartment was lovely with some quality design and decorating touches. Great location for walking around Arles. So lovely we ate every meal from the rooftop terrace, watching Arles wake up / go to sleep.

A beautiful apartment a bit out of the way in the old city. A very short walk to the Rhône and to many wonderful sites and places to eat. Hope to return!

Stylish apartment hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms in the center of Arles. Convenient to everything you want to see and do. A bit tricky to find on arrival by car, but once we got our bearings and the secured parking, it was great.
