This is a great little hotel adjacent Lake Chapala, hence a magnificent view of the lake. The staff is very friendly and accommodating yet professional. The complementary breakfast is also very good. If you want to experience what a magical village of Ajijic has to offer look no further than La Nueva Posada . The rooms are large, the beds and bedding luxurious and the outside garden dining option is beautiful. The staff is well trained, friendly and seem genuinely happy to work there. The atmosphere is positive and friendly as to step into the grand entryway . It is historic in design but with all the modern conveniences like AC, high speed internet , cleanliness and amazing food.

Everything was very good. The breakfast was awesome. The wait staff, except one server were friendly and caring. The owner was always there and happy to be of help. He greeted everyone every day. The rooms were large The ACwas great, but there are about 3 rooms that dont have ac. So make sure you know. The view was good. The day I left they were trimming the large tree😢 But now the view was better. It was quiet, except one day when a couple of people were drinking on the roof and being pretty loud at 2:30 in the morning. Otherwise it was a perfect stay. Thank you!!!! I hope to return soon.

Loved the friendly staff, and the breakfast was amazing. The outdoor dining area was beautiful with the lake as a amazing backdrop.

To be picky, GREAT hot water and water pressure, great daily service for the room, very clean establishment.

It is a quaint hotel with a lot of personality. The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything in the room worked well, including the AC, TV, etc. The mattress and pillows are lumpy, which would be the only critique for the hotel.

We loved everything about this property. Unfortunately, the internet went down the second day we were there which made for a small inconvenience. Otherwise, the staff and owner were great and will definitely be returning.

Huge room, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Great restaurant with a great view when sitting outside.
The room was hot during the day, no ac and no proper fans. Room had a ceiling fan but it’s not centered over the bed and it was in winter mode, so no real draft coming down to cool you off.
Lots of flying bugs inside the room, I mean LOTS. Room needs to be better insulated as said bugs come into the room in droves. They need to do a better job with mosquito screens. Loud barking dogs late into the night.
No microwave, no fridge, no coffeemaker!

What a wonderful spot to stay. This family run boutique hotel is very comfortable in every way--from the generous sized rooms, perfect beds, tasty breakfasts and dinners. The location is fantastic--close enough for walking just about anywhere you'd like to go in Ajijic--far enough from any noises that might disrupt your sleep. All in all, it is a great spot!
