Hotel is beautiful the room and bathtub wonderful., we loved view amazing.Maid service something to be desired no replenishment on bath mats shower gel body lotion or bar soap. The bed looked un made just throw together. No coffee replenishment. The pillows and bed protector just in a pile. They just stood in the hall with nothing to do. Pool is beautiful breakfast great. So many good things!! Except the room cleaning.

We expected this hotel to be fairly upmarket given the price however we definitely didn’t feel it warranted the price. The service was sub par where we were looked down upon when they saw which room we were staying in. We also overhead the neighbour in the next room over requesting her aircon to be fixed as she couldn’t sleep and the hotels response was that there are many worse rooms than hers - which is awful customer service. The hotel pool was probably the only decent part of the hotel, the rest wasn’t up to standard

Expensive for quality of room.

Beautiful hotel and staff. Very clean, great breakfast that’s included with many options in the buffet. Swim up bar with amazing cocktails. Perfect location to walk downtown and Sightsee. they offer free luggage transfers to the ferry so we walked to the ferry and our bags were waiting there for us. There is a clean beach in front of the resort you can use. Everyday they refresh the high quality products in the hotel room )body wash, shampoo, lotion). Fantastic spot! 10/10.

The property was big and conveniently located. The Room provided was recently renovated. The staff was nice. The breakfast options were ok but the Dinner buffet was not the greatest. Overall would give 4 stars.

The hotel property was nice, our room was not. Lots of things inside didn’t work or broken. One night we pulled ants off the bed, the door was very difficult to close/semi broken. One night we can back and housekeeping hadn’t closed door fully likely as a result. A closet door wouldn’t stay closed, closet light didn’t work, rug was stained and the room was very small. (Our son’s room wasn’t much better) Other than our room the hotel was nice.

Good location and lovely pool, lots of sun beds and nice walk to the old town and other beaches. Rooms a nice size, good breakfast options. Pick up and drop off of suitcases to the ferry very useful.

The hotel is quite far from the port. They do have a van that takes your luggage to/from the hotel, but you have to walk. When they brought our bags to the port on our last day, they left the bags alone baking in the sun so make sure you don’t leave anything valuable. There are a lot of stairs on the property, there’s an elevator but you still can’t avoid stairs in most areas. The room was very small and outdated. Floors were damaged from the shower, probably because the drain doesn’t work well, and the entire bathroom floods with each shower. Our “sea view” balcony didn’t actually have a view of the sea. There was a functioning AC in the room, but it’s very old and not very strong so the coldest the room would get is 25C at night and 28C during the day, with the AC running all day and night. The pool is fun but food is terrible. It’s fine, definitely not worth what they charge. I would stay closer to the port next time.

Amfora was an excellent stay at Hvar. The first day, we requested a room change due to the view we paid for and they were more than accommodating. Any and all service called in was at our door within 15 minutes. The pool area is fantastic. They also bring your luggage to and from the ferry which was amazing. Only a short 10 min walk along the gorgeous coast to the main center. Breakfast buffet was great and the staff so friendly. The pool overlooks the ocean which was gorgeous. There is also a free beach and a luxury beach right next to it which was beautiful. Couldn’t recommend more and truly think it’s the best stay on the island.

After an initial poor checkin experience we loved our stay overall. Rooms a little compact (superior) but views excellent as was pool, breakfast and staff. This is our second stay at Amfora and would recommend for couples or families.

Anyone reading this, do not stay here, anywhere else is better.

Hvar is beautiful to begin with but this property is just fantastic. Will be back again.
