Large comfortable, spacious room on a quiet side of hotel, very good buffet breakfast with many options included, helpful and efficient staff. Great location as well. The photos do not do it justice: much better, more inviting than how it is pictured!

Additionally renovations to the rooms, including new beds,
make for a comfortable stay.

Arrived two hours before and requested pre check in and was charged half a day extra or would not be allowed in. (the rooms were available)The reason given, which has never happenned before, was because I made the reservation Via Expedia. That was the message forwarded by the acting manager upon our arrival. It is an unacceptable answer.

The hotel is situated facing the Alameda, a grand avenue with central divide, full of old trees, a lovely walking area.

Good hotel in general. It was a nightmare to find a place to park and checkout another one. It took 1 hour 20 minutes to finish it. Pinpad didn't work, I tried 2 cards, personnel insisted that the machine was new. Suddenly one of them recommended to go to express hotel crossing street and there it worked.
We had to hurried up to the airport for not to lose our flight,

After quite a stressful journey to Talca and then finding it difficult to find a taxi in the 30C heat, Hotel Diego de Almagro was a welcome haven. My room was light, spacious and comfortable. A buffet breakfast was included. The only downside is that the hotel is on a busy road and there’s a lively bar quite close and so there was a bit of street noise . Altogether good value.
