The basics were covered. The hotel is getting older but they seem to be keeping it up. It was a work trip so I mostly just needed a clean room with bed and fridge, and it delivered.

The stay was nice but the parking is weird. The lot by the Garden Inn was packed to the brim but the parking lot by the Homewood Suites was a ghost town. I also think charging $16 for a standard hotel breakfast buffet is criminal but we found fantastic breakfast restaurants nearby for the same price. So that was good. Everything else was fantastic.

The hotel common areas are gorgeous, nice design and materials. But not very kept up on cleanliness throughout. The lobby was trashed when we arrived, food and trash all over the ground. With the photos of the property and the way the space was we expected it to be slightly elevated. But then when we got into our room it was sub par. There was stuff in the shower, stuck to the railings and seals from the prior guests. The pillows had absolutely no filling to them, they flattened like a sheet when you put your head on them. We had to shut off the fridge because it was soo loud when it ran, so we couldn’t use it. And lastly, the next morning after our stay, we couldn’t get the blackout curtain to go up, it was broken.

Checked us into wrong room (arrived at 2p) room was someone else's. Rooms then checked into were kings when reserved double queens, one of the rooms we finally received the ac was out and had to move again.

The Hilton Garden provided a wonderful experience. I especially appreciated the many add-ons like the shop in the lobby with coffee, wine, snacks, and anything you might need while travelling. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re visiting this area.

Our stay on 7/31/24 was disappointing due to a loud AC unit. The front desk staff was dismissive and unhelpful. Despite reporting the issue multiple times, it wasn’t resolved until a maintenance technician confirmed the problem and moved us to another room.
The staff’s lack of empathy and the suggestion that booking through a third party limited our assistance was frustrating. This stay was far from relaxing and added unnecessary stress before our move to San Diego. We emailed the General Manager of the hotel on 8/1 and haven’t heard back.
