We stayed at this hotel because we had a family member having surgery & this is where the other members were staying. The hotel is in a good location, there was a Rasin Canes just 1 red light down, a Taco Bell & KFC next door. The hotel was very clean & even had Dove brand soap, lotion, shampoo & conditioner! The only real downside was the bed, it was firm ( i prefer a soft bed). Over all it was a nice place.

This property and the staff were all great. My room was clean, had everything I needed, and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was fresh and hot.

UPON ARRIVAL, CHECK IN WAS A LITTLE SLOW BUT THE GENTLMAN CHECKING ME WAS FRIENDLY SO NO WORRIES, HOWEVER, HE TOLD US BREAKFAST WAS SERVED UNTIL 10:30, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. I WALKED IN AT 10:02 AM AND BREAKFAST WAS CLOSED, I WAS GREATED WITH READ THE WALL OR YOUR ROOM KEY, ITS OVER AT 10. RUDE. AND BTW WAY NO TIMES ON THE KEY OR KEY CASE. UPON CHECK OUT, I ASKED FOR A RECEIPT WAS TOLD THEY CANNOT PRINT A RECEIPT BECAUSE I BOOKED THRU HOTELS.COM, I ALWAYS BOOK WITH HOTELS.COM AND GET A RECEIPT. ASKED FOR A COPY OF THE PAPER I SIGNED WHEN I CHECKED IN AND WAS TOLD I DIDN'T SIGN ANYTHING. UMMMM, I CERTAINLY DID. THE HOST INSURED ME SHE HAS BEEN THERE 13 YEARS AND KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. I left, the place was semi scary and dirty and old. Sketchy neighborhood. Trying to get hotels.com to refund my money as I checked into another hotel.

This place is filthy. If it will allow me to post pictures, I will. The bathrooms were covered in mildew/mold. The room smelled of mildew the minute you walk into it. We were in a room for 1 night then left for the day. When we returned in the evening, the toilet didn't flush any longer. The handle that flushes inside the tank had broke in two. I am not sure if housekeeping did this and didn't want to report it but, it was flushing when we left in the morning. I went to the desk and reported this. They moved us to a different room. This room was a little better but still smelled of mildew and had mildew/mold in bathroom. The pictures I post will be from the second room (the better one). I would recommend staying in a different location. This is the filthiest Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. The staff I dealt with were very nice and did tell me that ever since they have gotten new owners, the place has went downhill. It's a shame.

The front desk clerk was exceptional!!!! So caring and made every effort to accommodate a few of our softball families. I can’t remember his name, but AJ is sticking in my mind. He’s African American if that helps. I told him I would leave him a great review for his kindness.

The stay was great, however the $100 deposit required when you arrive should be conveyed or waived, you have a credit card on file that should be enough. The $100 hold took 2 days to remove as it became my bank's problem of removing it.

Paint on ceiling in bathroom peeling. Toilet was not cleaned during the four day stay. Shower head just poured water out, truly needed to be replaced.
