Creepy, run down and stinky. Holes in the ceilings and water leak stains. This place needs to be shutdown or major update/renovation. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I booked for 3 nights ended up staying only 1 night and canceled the 2 night stays. Would have to be desperate to stay here again.

It was an older hotel. The room was neat and clean. It had a flat screen TV, mini fridge and microwave. It was across from the Palesades Mall. So you could drive or walk over to shop and eat. The shower and bathroom was small but I expected that based on the price and type of hotel.

No closet. Took a long time to get the hot water in shower. Plug for charger didn't work. Strange television service.

The front staff were rude and inconsiderate. When it was time for us to go to bed we pulled our blankets down and there was a large dried stain and they told us we did it! When we asked for them to change the sheets we were handed sheets and they told us to change them and didn’t even provide rubber gloves. When we went to put our toiletries away the door to the cabinet fell off. If you have thick hair forget about getting all the shampoo out of your hair. Hold on to the cabinet too if you sit on the toilet because that wobbles. The rooms smelled awful. You want a goodnight sleep you might be better off in the parking lot on the concrete!

It wasn't the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The facilities needed an upgrade and I wasn't crazy about the area. Security had me thinking seriously about my safety while there.

Tappan Zee Hotel, and may you please put us on the second floor in a room with no rugs; and with a beautiful view and in a quiet area and may you please spray the room with air freshener, we don't like cigarette smells. We had a room with all of the above! The Tappan Zee Hotel, we liked our stay most of all because, ( no rugs in the room and most of all clean toilet bowl up under the rim of the toilet bowl very clean ) . Tappan Zee Hotel, and may you please put us on the second floor in a room with no rugs; and with a beautiful view and in a quiet area and may you please spray the room with air freshener, we don't like cigarette smells. We had a room with all of the above! The Tappan Zee Hotel, we liked our stay most of all because, ( no rugs in the room and most of all clean toilet bowl up under the rim of the toilet bowl very clean ) . Roof leaked in a rainstorm and the cieling collapsed in the roof. Filled a suitcase with rain and broken cieling tiles. They refused to wash anything, just said it wasnt their fault. They transferred us to another room where they A/C didnt work, then gave an attitude about transferring us again to a third room. Not impressed!

Front desk was professional and pleasant. This hotel is a bit dated and needs some upfrades but the room itself was clean and tidy and best of all no old, smelly carpet. The close proximity to Palisades Place mall makes this the ideal location. Great value for your money.

The non smoking rooms should really be non smoking. The whole building just stank like cigarettes. My children kept complaining of the awful smell. The non smoking by room we got didn’t stink if the ac was off. But as soon as we turned it on it stank up the whole room. The walk to the room was horrible too. Last night, someone was smoking weed on our floor so that whole smell crept in. This hotel has potential for smoking clients only.
