Excellent hotel - we stayed for 2 nights on a quick trip. The location meant we could walk everywhere we wanted; felt safe; and loved all of the architecture. We will definitely stay again - the hotel is gorgeous as is the city. Particularly loved the very clean bathroom and comfortable bed.

We have only one problem about our stay that should be noted for improvement to be made. The frontal door is not signed as it should be for a hotel that gets 4/5 stars. There is no display on lifgt that reception is on 3rd floor and the two lower floors - where embassy of ecuador and another firm have their offices - have nothing to do with the hotel. We are told this lack of signage has been pointed out to owner a number of times but he fails to do anything about it. Having said that the terrace room is marvellous, the receptionist staff are marvellous as is the restaurant on ground floor and we would stay there again

This is a great boutique type hotel across from the Budapest Opera. We were in the 2 bedroom suite with the terrace in which you get great sunset views of Budapest. The suite was very large - probably a great space for 2 couples. We were only there for 1 night but would definitely recommend this hotel. Great space and everything is within walking distance.

Firstly this hotel is situated on the 3rd and 4th floor of an old apartment building, which is accessed by a lift or stairs. This gives it a bit of an unconventional feel, but which I loved. It is located on a main road, right beside the Opera house and within a 5 minute walk to St Stephen’s Basilica. As a solo traveler, the location was fantastic, I could more or less walk everywhere and at no time did I feel unsafe walking back to the hotel after dark. The Metro was virtually outside the hotel if needed. Staff very helpful, room large and clean. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided daily. My only negative and it is a very small one, was the hotel itself was hard to find as it was not well signposted, only a very small sign on the front door of the building. This could definitely be improved. That saying, if I’m ever lucky enough to visit Budapest again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This property has maintained a sense of history & is elegantly renovated for a boutique style hotel . I always enjoy it’s no ‘bling’ vibe here . Staff are more than helpful . Refreshing . Perhaps a few more coat hangers required.

The third floor lobby is a little awkward. The area is safe and across from the gorgeous Opera. Our room faced the statues of famous composers.

Liked the older traditional look of the hotel except for the radiator noise which was continuous throughout our stay… Otherwise it was the perfect venue.

So cozy and very comfotable. Especially location is perfect. Just next to the opera house. I asked the taxi service to the hotel from the airport because my flight delayed 12 hours . They gave me a good service. I was so happy and safe.If i come back to Budapest, i will stay here again. Thank you.

Nice but overpriced hotel, it has no visible front, the reception is kind of hidden on the third floor of a building with hard to find front. My wife and I got a single room key, which made it difficult to run independent errands.

Very camp, very comfortable, terrific coffee house/restaurant/bar, cool location, friendly and helpful staff, lots of stairs - a little difficult for heavy bags!

We had a great stay at Callas House. The room was good and the breakfast hit the spot. Would stay again.
