Center of town and close enough to travel around. Although I checked in after hours and left early to catch a train,they were very acomodating and extremely helpful

While our arrival was a bit rocky (arrived on a Sunday when there was no staff available) and the parking situation was scary (very narrow entryway), the rest of our stay was fine. The room was clean and comfortable (albeit a bit cramped), the location was handy to the center of town and to the meetings I had the next morning, the wifi worked, the breakfast was good.

Room was spotless, breakfast awesome, staff friendly and helpful, and it was excellent for its hotel category. Location perfect, lovely patio area, rooms are quiet, with washcloths and Kleenex! ( first European hotel I have ever visited that had washcloths! The breakfast had marvelous croissants, breads, cereals, juices, yogurts, meats, cheese, and fresh fruit. After that, we were gone most of the day, and came back to a quiet place to sleep. The church nearby does play the bells about 6 am, but you can shut your windows or enjoy as we did, and fall back asleep.Would love to stay there again!

Excellent breakfast, comfortable room with views over garden. fantastically helpful staff. great location for visting the town. Tip: we arrived late after a long cycle ride and being tired i couldnt immediately find the entrance/reception - it is around the side by the ramp For info - the hotel is combined with a residential care centre for the elderly.

Spent one night at this odd hotel which is an adjunct of a rehab/old age facility in central St. Gallen. Location is excellent -- close to cathedral and famous library. Parking garage is a real benefit. Room small but typically Swiss -- immaculately clean and efficient. WiFi a little weak in the room. Good breakfast. Would stay here again.

A reception desk is not occupied in the evening but the key of the room was ready to take.

Hotel am Spisertor was a very nice small hotel with a friendly,helpful staff,and a great breakfast buffet.Good location,next to the old town and mass transit,and a bus pass was included in the room price. If you're going to St. Gallen, you couldn't do better.

It is nice to stay zentrum in St.Gallen. Hotel Room is so clean and well organized. Even i was so late for checkin around 23.00pm, hotel organized well for my accomodation well.

St Gallen is a complicated city to get around by car as streets are very narrow so be sure to identify the designated public parking Spisertor. You will get a free parking ticket at the reception. If you plan to arrive after 7pm call the reception in advance so you can arrange how to pick up the room key. We arrived late and a nurse from Kursana Residence (other side of the building) helped us get the keys however it took us a while as she only spoke Swiss Deutsch which we could not understand at all, finally we realized she also spoke Italian and we managed to understand each other. The hotel was very neat and the breakfast was great, it was overall a very nice stay.
