Honestly it is not an 8 rating. We will say that they are trying. Rooms look freshly painted including the outside. Rooms present nice, looks like newer 2nd hand hotel furniture. Looks like new carpet. Had an odd smell (old smoke smell). The biggest thing is always first impressions. Walking into the “lobby” is odd. Like you are walking into someone’s family room. Again, they are for sure doing upgrades. They are definitely trying but we booked off the 8 and it’s not there.

Hair dryer is broken, and a light-bulb at the varnish burns out. The location is good for dining and shopping at the old town.

The room was clean. Friendly attendant..But bed was very uncomfortable.Matress felt springy..Got little sleep because of mattress..Expected a more comfortable matrres for the price of the room

The property itself was clean, beds were comfortable. My HUGE concern is that they use their iPhone and take a photo of your drivers license and credit card. I told her to delete the photo and she either didn’t understand English or refused to delete it. They say it is to verify that you have checked in. The non-English-speaking mother called the son back to the hotel and he deleted the photo.( and the deleted photos) That part was corrected but the OMG moment of seeing many, many other pictures of drivers license and credit cards on her phone was very troubling and extremely illegal.

Staff not very cooperative. I booked a room with a king bed & the check in clerk insisted I asked for two queen size beds. The sheets looked wrinkled (used) And the room had a strong smell of disinfectant. The vanity bowl was full of cracks and needed cleaning behind the faucets. One of the beds was concave and the pillows extremely hard. The room back up to a noisy street. Needless to say we did not have an enjoyable experience.

Friendly staff, super easy check in/out, easy parking. We had a corner room which was nice but definitely needed some TLC. There were drawer pulls missing, the weatherstripping on the door wasn't secure and we had to push it back under the door after the door shut. But it seemed safe, we didn't see any unhoused people in or around the hotel, and even though it was close to the freeway I didn't notice much traffic noise
