Booked the downstairs room (only pet friendly room) nice and spacious, however the guests in the room upstairs could be heard with every footstep thru the entire night. We gave up at 3am and reluctantly started our day. The bed was also super soft with no support. Bodies were in a “V” shape due to sinking into mattress. Staff are really nice. Bar had a great selection of drinks. Clientele only appeared to be Tea & Scone people.

Excellent room. Beautiful renovation with very comfy bed and enormous bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Sadly the bar and restaurant was closed on Tuesday night but Wednesday night it was open. The fire was lovely. Staff very kind.

Really nicely renovated rooms with lovely bathrooms. First room shown was on the ground floor and lacked privacy and double glazing but they happily moved us upstairs to room 3 which was nicely decorated and had double glazing on the window so the trucks did not disturb us as they rolled past. Easy walking distance to the Saddler and Henry Parks museum.

Rooms were a good size recently renovated, you do have to walk up a flight of stairs. Good location in the town. Restaurant and Bar downstairs was really cozy, food was verg good, only downfall the bed was to soft.

Good quality meals, although slow service. Very competent and friendly staff. Room subject to excusive truck noise all night. No breakfast was the clincher in giving this place the thumbs down.

The rooms were elegantly decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant food and overall service was excellent

Just absolutely superb. The bathroom is to die for. Everything was thought of. We atebin the restaurant downstairs and finished our wine back in our room. So comfortable and quiet, even though it was in the main street.

A beautiful old pub that is being renovated. The dining are was lovely as was our room (balcony room number 1).

Mattress was awful - I think it was like a memory foam but very uncomfortable and felt like rolling into the middle all night.

Our stay was pleasant. Not having a lift made it difficult with our luggage. The restaurant was good and the staff pleasant. The accommodation was comfortable so overall as I said a pleasant stay

Beautifully decorated hotel. Huge modern bathroom. A few little things let this hotel down. Two mornings in a row the bin in our room was emptied. Balcony had a lot of insect droppings. Don’t think it had been cleaned for awhile as also a lot of spider webs. Air conditioning vent was covered in dust. Restaurant food was delicious, not cheap, so was surprised we were expected to use the same knife and fork for our entree and main. An extra paper serviette with the garlic bread would be helpful instead of having to use a greasy serviette for the main course. Just small things but they seemed like a contradiction to the whole boutique hotel feel.
