The hotel is very clean, room was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and nice, booked us the tours we asked, answered all questions. The breakfast was delicious and the server was very nice. I love the place and would recommend to anyone.

The breakfast was very good with choices of eggs, pancakes, bacon, etc. we also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and it was fantastic! The waitress was very helpful and willing to help us with our Spanish speaking skills!!

Very nice and helpful staff, including at the front desk and the restaurant. The pancakes were excellent in the morning, and they helped me book some nice tours and guides. I would ask around about the coffee tour as the Don Juan tour was nice, but maybe there are some that are more plantations. The guide they set me up with in the Cloud Forest was great and the transport was convenient. The food was good but pricey. Also in Santa Elena many places won't let you flush your toilet paper, which I don't like but might be common there. Overall very nice stay and really nice people.

The bed was terribly hard. The “restaurant” was really only open for breakfast, even though signs indicated a happy hour at the bar, and there was a menu.

We had the superior room, which is it's own little building. It was absolutely adorable and beautiful. We could not have been happier. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were very helpful. One afternoon we had no plans, and Tom provided us with great suggestions. We loved it!

Good service. Good breakfast. Close to Santa Elena downtown (5 min. walk). Room is ok. Parking space is not so good.

Great stay - Amazing value. The mountains are cooler than the lower lands so ac is rarely needed when we visited in march

I stayed at Don Taco with my two daughters for 3 nights and we really loved the vibe of the place. The layout is great with a lovely inner courtyard, a wonderful breakfast area and a nice, large balcony with rocking chairs where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful view. The staff was very friendly, helpful and made our stay at Don Taco a memorable one. If we ever come back to Monteverde, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again Gracias!

This place was a short walk from town (albeit a steep one) with a bunch of shops, cafes, sodas, restaurants within walking distance. The rooms had variations of balconies to sit and enjoy the outdoors. But the view is just ok and because town is just down the hill there’s lots of ruckus from motorcycles revving up and down the roads. The rooms have no AC nor a ceiling fan. We were concerned it’d be too hot at night but pleasantly surprised how nicely cool it was. Nice little on site pub, and restaurant. For what it is, we were quite content with our stay.
