This hotel was well-located and a nice hotel to stay in.
The staff named Nathan was knid and friendly.

I booked the hotel via Hotels.com the morning before our trip. I received a confirmation email immediately. 7 hours later, I received an email from the Operations Director at the Moxy titled "reservation unavailable" which contained the following:
"We received your booking today - Thank you so much for considering Moxy Miami South Beach for your stay! We tried reaching you by phone but were not able to reach you.
Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t have the KING Room you selected. We are happy to welcome you, we can secure a room- however it's only the BUNK BEDS Apologies for this glitch.
Please call us Marriott Hotel Reservations: 1(888)236-2427 if you have any questions."
I did not receive a voice mail and my call log confirmed no one "tried to call" before they DOWNGRADED my room due to their "glitch".
I responded at first opportunity.
When I had not received a reply the following morning, I called the number the Operations Manager provided to see if 1) why my room was downgraded instead of upgraded as a result of their "glitch" 2) if I still had a room at all when I arrived in two hours. They could see what had transpired and confirmed better rooms available. However, they were not able to change the reservation. That apparently can only be done at the hotel. They tried calling the front desk but could not get through. They sent them an email and suggested I try calling. After multiple attempts, someone finally answered and moved us to a queen room.

Overall, it was good. The staff was super friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. The lack of a closet in the room would have been a deal-breaker if I had known ahead of time. Ditto for no place to put clothes that can't be hung on a stupid rack. I don't like having to look at all of my clothes hanging there for my whole trip. That's just stupid. Also found out they only clean the room every 3 days. Would have liked to know that ahead of time. That also meant no clean towels unless I could hunt down a housekeeper. No ice machine anywhere. You have to go to the restaurant?? Also stupid. None of this ruined my vacation, but I probably won't go back or recommend this to anyone.

We booked this hotel with the expectation that they maintain the Marriott standards this is not the case.

The hotel has a good rooftop bar with hanging swings. But the rooms are way too small. There's No closet or place for your suitcases. Very cute and clean. Dont bring big suitcases!!

Great pool. Lovely views from the roof. Good amenities and lovely design/overall feel. Convenient location.
The bunk rooms are on the smaller side and more optimized for style than convenience. No mini fridge or workspace. But we had a lovely stay and I would recommend it.

The staff at the Moxy is awesome. Polite, knowledgeable and very friendly. It would have been great if the rooms had complimentary water along with the water for purchase. Although noted in the paper work our room wasn't cleaned our first night there. The wash cloths used are very thin, hard and scratchy. A few overall upgrades would be great.

We're not used to hotel staff saying they will get you something and it not happening. Was told yes to getting a refrig in our room, never arrived. Not easy to get fresh towels. No top sheet on bed and never received. We had to use the duvet on bed that others used, YUCK! Finally received what we thought was a top sheet and it was a
fitted sheet. I would not recommend and this property definitely is not good for the Marriott brand.

We really appreciated our stay at Moxy. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is nice and the fact that you just need to walk 2 minutes to access the beach is amazing. Ambiance is a 10/10.

The hotel itself was beautiful. It’s modern and new . The pool was great, rooftop bar was also good. The prices are high for food and beverage. But the rooms are extremely small it’s okay for a 3 day stay but not for longer. There is no table in the room or anything where you can put your clothes, besides the small box under the bed. Keep in mind that there is no mini fridge in the room as well.. It’s necessary to have a fridge in miami. Rooms are cleaned every other day but our room wasn’t cleaned the first 5 days, even though we told them at day 3 several times. It was a cute hotel but we wouldn’t stay there again. They need to rearrange some things to keep the customers loyal.

Second time at Moxy, walking distance from wild side. Front desk was amazing room was ready early so we didnt have to wait for check in. Love the pool. Drinks strong and happy hour great. Food really good. Only thing they didnt clean our room our whole stay. But id stay again.

Celebrated my bday here and the staff was amazing. Great location close to the beach and the rooftop was nice along with the pool and restaurant. Definitely will book again when I come back.

Beautiful hotel with easant womderful staff.. other than o e bartender at the lobby bar who was rude about us drinking a glass of wine in the lounge after the bar was closed..
Close to the beach and many restaurants. Wonderful 25th wedding anniversary spent here with 2 grouos if friends.
