This was the perfect quiet rural getaway for my wife and I! During the stay, we were treated to local cuisines, crafts, history, and wildlife. Deer actually walked by our cabin along with ducks eating deer corn right next to me on our front porch! Very awesome relaxing environment! Bring bug spray of course!

Only complaint was that toilet too close to the wall. Very quaint rustic motif and comfortable beds. Nice outside view with roaming ducks. Chairs could be a bit wider and Roku TV needed a reset as it was not responsive. Great location and friendly staff.

Wow wow! This place is amazing. From the staff, cute little cabins, amenities to make you feel like you are camping out, this is the place to go! Extra special- we were celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day and received a hugely thoughtful gift from the staff! Thank you for making our first stay, the best stay!

There was no one at the reception when I arrived at 6pm (not at midnight, not at 8pm!!) at the property. They left the key for the cabin in an envelope. There is nobody I could ask how the TV works, it is a silly TV! The windows don't open even though they look like they can be opened. This place is not run down, but for the price it is really terrible. It is not worth 136 USD. I would like to claim a refund. Can you take it up with the property?? Heinz Wilhelm, Ambassador (rtd)

Our "cottage" was adorable. It was clean,spacious, comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay there again!

Fun place to stay and relax. I stayed at The Farmhouse and it was spacious and cute.

We loved our cabin and Tracy at the office was very informative, friendly and welcoming. The cabin was clean and had a nice kitchenette with a sink and everything we could have needed was furnished in the cabin. We could walk to the park and river across the street as well as to shops, bars and restaurants. We also liked the visit from the ducks, geese and deer and we were given a baggie of dried corn to feed them. We would definitely recommend The Vaquero for a stay in Bandera.

Great location for quick access in and out of town. Near the major highway so road noise was a bit of issue if you wanted to sit out in the evening and enjoy the surroundings. Internet was unstable - went in and out, but we weren't there for TV and just used cellular for phones so not a big issue. Lock on our cabin door was missing the faceplate - there was apparently a previous attempt to break in as the top door hinge was sort of repaired, but we did feel safe. Bed was SUPER comfortable!! Shower was a bit small, but had hot water! Fun little property with horseshoes, cornhole and great places to sit out. Area was well maintained and plenty of parking. Good spot for the money!
