We stayed here for five days. The breakfast each morning was probably my favorite part. I loved the fresh fruit and drink options. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were spacious and kept clean. Also there was a shower door that closed! I was sad to leave. We had a great stay.

I had booked a room with a queen bed with a city view. I was given a room with a small bed and it looked nothing like the photos. The window opened directly I to the lobby, no privacy. I was really looking forward to a hit shower; the water was only like warm, when I asked the receptionist about this she came into my room and checked the temperature and said I was fine. It was not hot at all. The breakfast was decent and they made eggs to order which were cooked really well.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were attentive, polite, and friendly. The staff immensely helped us with directions. The breakfast buffet is one of the best hotel buffets we have ever had. The rooms were cost, but comfortable, with plenty of hot water.

The hotel staff is very nice and attentive. A previous guest left a locked safe in the room. It was a small problem but it was important to me. No problem at all, for the hotel staff. The safe was unlocked and reset in 10 minutes. Bravo! I've had a similar issue in Cusco. It took that hotel staff TWO DAYS to show up in my room. But I digress. In the morning, before my trip to Uros Islands, a tasty breakfast (included in the price of the room) made my belly happy. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone, and if I ever travel to Puno again I'll stay at Plaza Mayor.

The hotel is very basic, horrible decor, the room is terribly cold and the person who was at the reception when I arrived couldn’t be less interested in welcoming me. The location tough is excellent, just a few steps from the main square, close to good restaurants, shopping and banks. The place is clean and breakfast quite decent. For one night it is not bad.

I spent a couple of days at this hotel and it provided a decent room at a fair price. It was close to plaza de armas and easy access to bars and restaurants as well as plaza de armas. It could be a bit noisy at night with all kind of sounds. I would suggest bringing ear plugs for a good night sleep. Then again you will be so tired from all the day activities that you may not care. Safe travels.

We were one of 2 couples in the hotel during our 3 night stay. Unfortunately they gave us a room next to the only other guests. Walls are paper thin and unfortunately I had to go down to the main desk twice at 2:00 am to complain about loud tv and voices which eventually rectified. As the hotel was relatively empty hot water was turned OFF and it took us one day to figure out that we had to call down in advance of a shower to get the hot water turned back on. Breakfast was so so but we have had worse. There have to be better values available. We would not stay there again.
