We’ve just arrived home from staying a week at Mary Royal and I just had to leave a review! The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and our basement studio in the new building was gorgeous. Our studio had everything we needed and suited us well as I struggle with walking distances and the hotel was very easy to use my manual wheelchair from the entrance to our studio (just a couple of steps down to the basement studio). What also makes it is the people who work here, they’re incredibly friendly and they really do make you feel so welcomed. I’m sad to be home as we really enjoyed our stay in Crete with Mary Royal but won’t hesitate recommending this hotel to everyone, it really is a little hidden gem - I hope we will be back one day too! Thank you Konstantinos and your wonderful team (I’ll also miss ‘Mary’ the stray kitten who started visiting the hotel - I wish I could’ve taken her home!). A couple of our favourites places we discovered for future guests: The little village called Margarites, it’s incredibly cute and we spent so long choosing which pottery to bring home! There’s also Taverna Mántalos, where we had the best lunch - you must go! Added bonus is the beautiful view. For beaches where the sea is more calm to be able to swim in we loved Kalivaki beach (the one in the West of Georgioupolis) and Kalyves beach (by CostaAnita cafe - they bring lunch/drinks to you on the beach - perfect!).

We have been on Crete for 6 weeks and Mary Hotel and Suites is our favorite. The superior split level suite is exceptional and this is eclipsed by the friendliness and service of the staff! We were heartily welcomed and treated very well. The amenities are modern and it was a very enjoyable stay! We will return.

We can warmly recommend Mary Hotel and Mary Royal Suites. It is located 5 minutes walk to the beach and 3 minutes to many tavernas and shops. The rooms are clean and the kitchen fully equipped. Next to the pool there is a garden with sun loungers. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, always fresh, prepared by the owner. The hosts Konstantinos and his mother Evghenia were so friendly, thoughtful, polite and generous. I am very grateful to them for organizing my daughter's birthday and for making our stay unforgettable! At the departure we were given 2 cans of olive oil produced by the owners family. My kids can't wait to go back next summer!
