Huge hotel but friendly and helpful. Bar and restaurant quite expensive and our room was a long way through the hotel but all in all very good.

Grand Leoniki is a legitimate resort that is well worth the less than €50/night we paid for it. Our one-bedroom suite included a full kitchen with all appliances and was located right next to a large pool. We were able to stay and enjoy the pool for several hours after checkout. The resort is located a 3-5 minute walk from the beach and restaurants, bars, shops, and markets are even closer. The bus to Rethymno is less than €2 and tickets can be purchased at the mini mart before boarding. You pick it up just outside a wonderful little cafe/bar called La Strada, which is worth a visit while you wait. If you’re looking to visit Rethymno but want to avoid some of the city crowd, Grand Leoniki is a good choice.

The Grand Leoniki is a luxury resort, 4 or 5 star in quality, that has everything you could ask for - beautiful pools and lounging areas, lovely suites, excellent food and entertainment, all amid gorgeous buildings and grounds. The only negative is the parking, which is behind the property, difficult to find and not always available.

Great location, very large hotel compound that encompasses the Leoniki Residence and the Grand Leoniki with 2 outdoor pools, spa facilities and in house dining. Although I found the cost of breakfast a bit much at €11, the dinner buffet provided a good selection and was worth the €17 cover. However, we opted to do that just one night and explore the local tavernas on other nights. Staff was welcoming and friendly, and rooms cleaned every day (except Sunday). The spa facilities and gym are small but functional with a good deal on spa treatments. There is no private parking but you can find parking on the roads nearby (can be hard to find a spot late at night though). Beaches are a few minutes walk and there are so many amazing local tavernas to choose from. I’d happily stay here again.

My stay was just too good to be on a business trip! The white towels and quality toiletries was proved. Well equipped kitchen and good AC. We even had a pool right outside the room where I took a swim after my business meetings. Breakfast was amazing. I would recommend it to all for a business trip or holiday.

We had a studio apartment which was well designed and spacious with necessary fittings for self catering stay. There are very good facilities attached including a number of swimming pools, sauna and small gym. There is also a steam room, although this was not working during our stay. The attached restaurant is well worth using on occasion. Very good value for the wide range of starters and mains included in the all in price. Grand Leoniki staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the newer part of the resort and our review is based on this. The location of the resort is in Platanes which is about 5km from Rethymno. There is a regular bus service. The staff was exactly what one wants when traveling. The only issue was one I do not understand because it would be so easy to rectify. Once they closed part of the hotel because the season was over the internet no longer reached the room. They would only need to connect a WIFI extender and the problem would be solved. As I was there on business connectivity was important.
