Wonderful trip to the past with accommodations required today. It was a real pleasure to visit and stay in this Hotel. Very sure, very welcoming and very interesting place to come by.

This property was brilliant - fully old colonial style, fantastic rooms. We felt quite royal being able to spend time here. Staff were excellent, serviced well, polite, and almost all spoke English (which is rare in Cuba). The hotel had a VPN built in to its WiFI, which was brilliant, which we also never experienced before. We also had the best breakfast ever. Overall - vey happy !!!!

The room (e.g. the bathroom) was really clean, but the entire hostal is over 100 years old. It is true that it was kept in a good condition (the furniture were super old school), however sleeping in a 100 year old bed and room wasn't the coolest feeling in our trip. The room had a smell of old stuff which made us feel suffocating after a couple of minutes of staying inside. I was happy not to sleep more than one night in that room... the breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful though. The location to reach the city was also perfect!

Hotel Baron is worth it if you want to experience staying at a beautiful colonial building. The service is good and people are helpful, although breakfast was a bit disappointing. The price is comparatively high, given that you don’t me never get a better experience than in many casas particulares, but worth a night stay if you value the aesthetics of the building.

Hotel is very beautiful. Staff are very friendly and a really great hosts. We also had amazing food at the hotel. Dinner is highly recommended

This was a fantastic hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to accommodate us. Breakfast was amazing especially the pancakes.it is well situated only a few minutes walk to the main square which has amazing architecture, restaurants and salsa bars. I would highly recommend this.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Cienfuegos. This is an old palace which was and still is renovated. You find a lot of nice little details and decos everywhere, every room in the palace is beautifully decorated. We had a room with a very comfortable queensize bed and a balcony overlooking the street. The room was big but the bathroom was even bigger. The location cannot be better - it is right in the center of Cienfuegos, Parque Marti and the main street are just a few steps away. We parked our car just around the corner and parking was free. We had dinner and breakfast here as well. Both were nice but to be honest we had better meals in "normal" casas and dinner was by far the most expensive we had on our three weeks holiday. So dinner was definitely not worth the money we paid. We also thought that the price we paid for one night here was too much. Everyone was very friendly and helpful but for us everything here was a little bit "too much".

The only downside was the mattress on the bed was so thin and not comfy. The air-con also only works at certain times. However I would highly recommend staying here, the view from the roof terrace is stunning. Nice breakfast.

This property looked very good on the ground floor, and is located on a good street, close to the shopping street and the park. However, for the price I paid (approx US$120), i had expected the property to be in better condition. The toilet bowl had no seat cover, the room was dusty and the paint was falling off the ceiling. When I woke ip in the morning, i found 2 juicy bed bugs sharing my bed. When I squashed them, there was fresh blood! The lady in charge ordered a cab to bring me to Trinidad. A classic car turned up, so I was really happy, only to be horrified when the classic car turned into service station and bumped us off the car into a rickety old car for the rest of our trip!

The hotel was built in 1912, but very well maintained. All the rooms are lovely and it was like a “stay at a palace”. All the staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. It’s worth the price. I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel. It could be better if they can provide mini-bar (refrigerator) and sufficient amount of hot water.
