We were attracted to booking this cottage at Moness Resort due to the featured use of the swimming pool and spa, which advertised steam room, sauna and jacuzzi being included in the deal. However we were very disappointed on arrival to find that the Sauna and Jacuzzi were both out of order and the temperature in the pool was very uncomfortably cold. To top it all up the showers were also cold with no hot showers available. (We had to go back to the cottage to get a hot shower). We did complain, but were told that we were not entitled to any compensation as the facilities were complimentary. We believe that it should be stated that only the steam room is properly working. We were told that the water temperature was within the guidelines and that it was checked daily and hand written on a board. I have used many pools and spas and never have any of them been as cold as this. There were another couple of people in the pool, who 100% agreed with me. I think it would be unsafe for children to stay in this temperature for long. We met with a local at a nearby restaurant, who told us that they had heard people often complaining about the temperature of the pool. It is such a shame, as this area is so beautiful and the pool and spa could be wonderful if kept properly maintained.

Fantastic break. We had 2 "cottages" which were part of a block. They were clean and spacious and set up for 6 people. Parking is convenient, and it is a short walk to the town. Food is good, but the menu is not extensive. Just don't go if you have anatidaephobia (look it up:-)

Easy access. Lots of room. Comfortable beds and bath. Beautiful area. No negatives.

Loved the pool etc

Everything was A OK. Very nice hotel with secure parking on the premises for our motocycles. Very good breakfast and friendly attendance of the personnel. We will surely come back here when in Scotland ❤️

Room was missind a sink plug in the basin and heated towel rail not working

Really enjoyed my one night stay. It was very quiet, which was lovely but I booked a table in the bar and the bar was closed. No notification of this had to ask in the dining room to get a table. It was a shame as it was such a lovely night so would have liked have dat outside the bar for dinner. Can’t really complain as food was lovely . If I’m being picky, only one (of three) shower(s) working in the women’s changing room at pool and shower in room wasn’t great. Still had a lovely night.

Lovely accommodation, well-equipped kitchen. The grounds were lovely and lots of long walks in the surrounding area (including to the nearby Birks). The spa was unfortunately closed as was the sauna, but the steamroom, jacuzzi, and pool were delightful.

A last minute booking that delivered well above expectations. All staff friendly and efficient. Good food. Lovely cocktails too! Will be back.

Fabulous hotel set in beautiful large wooded grounds. Secluded and peaceful. Both apartment's booked were huge,(ground floor) Large comfortable bed. Big bathroom. We did make use the hotel swimming pool with our 2yr old granddaughter. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff in particular (Fabulous breakfast by the way). Would have no hesitation staying at Moness Resort again. In our 7 day road trip of Scotland, this was our favourite stop-over.

Only issue we had the third bed was not ready - still in wardrobe and I had to ask for the bedding.

Didn’t see any staff as checked in remotely. Good self catering property, outside looking a little tired but overall great place to stay.

The sleeping arrangement for us was ideal. The cottage was dated but had all you could need for a quiet family break. Highlights for us was the unexpected visit of some rather friendly ducks that loved being fed. Our daughter loved feeding them

Lovely spacious accommodation which couldn’t be faulted for layout & design but somewhat tired looking on the exterior & things like pillows definitely at the end of their useful life. Easy online check in & booking for the swimming pool which I enjoyed. Nice & quiet but whole resort appeared a little tired. Great location for visiting the local area.
