This is in an ideal location for seeing the beautiful town of Asti. Easy walking to everything. Great restaurants nearby . The starched brilliant white hand towels are old world luxury in a hotel with a great Italian classic feel and old world charm. The receptionist was wonderful and obviously enjoys her job. She gives you a great feel for her town. We loved our stay at Hotel Cavour.

Stayed for 3 nights for wine tasting in the region. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was up to date and very clean. Great location directly across the street from the train station. Many great restaurants within walking distance. Sights of the city are also within walking distance. Great breakfast.

We booked this hotel because it was central but didn't realize it was right next to the train station. We had low expectations, but were surprised that it was better than we thought it would be. It's utilitarian, not fancy. It's also pretty clean for how old it is and how much use it's clearly had over the years. The front woman was also helpful and nice. Would I stay again? If price is a leading consideration, I would stay one night on a business trip. For more than one day or for vacation, I would not. Good overall experience for the price.

Everything is clean and the beds are comfy, but pillows need an upgrade. The rooms are nice and traditionally furnished, comfortable. I wish they had better lighting; very dark at night, too dark even to read in bed.
The only downside to this hotel is it's right across from the train station. Surprisingly, we heard no train noise in 2 days, but lots of noisy cars and various train station riff-raff milling around. Not unsafe, just a bit grungy. But it's a 5 minute walk to the town center, and worth the savings in cost.

Great location right across from the train station and close to the center. Very reasonably priced, comfortable, quiet and clean. Love that it is family owned and run by a kind elderly host and his children!

The location can’t be more convenient, the room is very very clean and warm. The breakfast has a variety of fresh pastries fruits and yogurt. And the staff is very friendly and helpful :)
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Asti.
Would definitely stay again.
