So we didn’t expect much from an F1; you get what you pay for. But we have stayed in other F1s before, which were much better. Half the toilets were out of action. I imagine poor drainage as by the end of the day the showers were flooded and dirty. No air/con. However it is only a 10 minute walk to Pringy train station which is one stop from Annecy and therefore easy to get around from if you don’t have a car.

Terrible hotel! The rooms were smelling cigarettes a lot, the baths were not clean and the guests were making a lot of noise during the whole night. I don't recommend at all.

The place is alright for an overnight on a trip, but not the kind of hotel to spend much time in it.

It's like a hostel, most guests are seemingly seasonal workers, as it's a convenient location. Strange experience for a hotel, as it's communal bathrooms and toilets - didn't use the bathroom in the end, as it's all wet and I didn't feel comfortable with the set-up. You get what you pay for... a clean bed to sleep in. There's a basin with taps in the room at least, but no English TV channels, so boring. Our biggest gripe was the cigarette smoke that filled the corridor and came into our room (especially as I have allergies), we complained, but the staff refuse to speak English, so that didn't resolve anything - very unhelpful. Next morning, we saw all the cigarette buts that's been flicked onto our car from a window above - guessing that was the room who's occupants smoked, despite it being a non-smoking hotel. Did quite like the doorcode instead of key set-up, that's quite clever.

There was still someone at the reception when we arrived even though it was 2 am and the confirmation stated that the reception closes at 9 so I was very happy to find someone still there. He was pleasant, helpful and spoke English. The location is also great very close to Annecy with free parking on site. However, the reason I would not recommend this hotel is because the whole place smelt of cigarette smoke. Even though our reservation was for a non-smoking room it was obvious that people had been smoking there, which is a big shame and greatly affects my feeling of comfort, the other thing that lets this place down is the bathroom facility. I could accept the fact that the bathrooms are outside the rooms, for this price that's ok but the bathrooms were dirty and there were bugs on the floor. A big deep clean would do wonders and perhaps installing smoke detectors would also help.

The rooms were cosy overnight, so although our rad wouldn't go on, we were warm enough. Bunk beds made for a bit of an adventure in our mid-30s! ;) Well-located for Geneva commute, Annecy and into mountains for cheaper ski option. Free wifi was reliable and streamed video.
