Tranquility Hideaway Cottage is anything but ordinary in the center of town! Escape to the serene ambiance of Tranquility Hideaway Cottage, the only home on Armory Lane, nestled on over 2 acres of lush, wooded landscape right in the heart of Downtown Fort Payne.

This charming home offers the perfect blend of convenience and seclusion, providing a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its central location, cozy interior, amenities, and picturesque surroundings, it's the ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation amidst nature's beauty.

**THE RETREAT PROPERTY**

Once you step on to the front porch, you will love the comfortable furniture and the views from the porch :) These views continue from the windows inside. Entering through the front door, you will see the living room which has plenty of comfortable seating for your group. The large sofa can fold out with comfortable bedding for the fifth and sixth guests. A sofa bedding kit is available to guests inside the secondary bedroom closet. There is a 42" Roku TV available for Guests to stream their own subscribed channels, and there is a DVD player for movie nights after long days of hiking, shopping and exploring Lookout Mountain.

Next to the living room area, there is a dining room/area with a dining table with seating for six guests, and there are two extra chairs beside the large window.

Through the dining area, there is a door leading to the kitchen and second living area. You will find the kitchen well-equipped with dishes, utensils, pans, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, electric water kettle, blender, toaster, and cooking spices. There are ice trays in the freezer for making ice.

Adjoining the kitchen, there is a second living area and an office area with a desk and rolling chair next to the large window. There is also a laundry area that includes a large washer and dryer available for Guests to use at their convenience. This home has very fast Wi-Fi, ideal for remote work. There is another sofa in this living area that makes a great private reading area next to a large assortment of books that are available for Guests to enjoy during a retreat here.

Right off of the the second living area, there is a small hallway with a side-door exit, and entrance to the half bathroom with a toilet and sink.

Back in the first living room area, you'll see a hall entrance that will lead to two private bedrooms and a full bathroom. The primary bedroom is very spacious with a king size bed and comfortable bedding. There is a desk in this bedroom, a small closet and side table lamps with USB charging stations. A second door in this bedroom leads into the kitchen and second living area.

The secondary bedroom is at the other end of the hallway and has a queen size bed and memory foam mattress with comfortable bedding, There are side tables with USB charging stations, and there is a small closet. There are antimicrobial encasements on all bed mattresses and sleeping pillows.

There is a full bathroom in between the bedrooms with a tub/shower combination, sink and toilet.

In each bedroom and the primary living room, there is a 3-Prong Outlet Adapter with 6 Outlet Extenders, including 3 USB Ports (1 USB C, 3.4A) and Surge Protector.

Outside, next to the side of the cottage, there is a patio area with a table and 4 chairs...another perfect location for views into the woods and to enjoy your favorite beverage.

You will be given access to a list of favorite attractions and restaurants! Waterfalls, national preserve, state parks, zip lining, hiking, picnicking, rappelling, horseback trail rides, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, wild animal preserve, golfing, swimming, museums, glass blowing, making pottery, skiing (seasonal), axe throwing, unique local dining, antique shopping, scenic drives, and MORE! So that you can experience life on the mountain like locals, we provide our guests with a list of all the attractions and restaurants! Chattanooga is only an hour away - Birmingham and Atlanta are less than 2 hours away!

**OUR POLICIES**

You will receive an email to e-sign a vacation rental agreement and upload your photo ID before the reservation is completed.
No open flames are allowed, such as grills, fireworks, smoking, candles, etc, due to the heavily wooded environment in the center of Downtown Fort Payne.
This retreat property does not allow smoking anywhere on the property.
This retreat property is dog-friendly (small to medium dogs only). If you wish to bring a dog, a pet fee of $69 applies per dog (2 dogs max).
Exterior security cameras are located at this property.
There is a $300 security deposit HOLD required for this retreat property.
Guests will receive email communication from Peaceful Retreats prior, during and after each retreat.

Peaceful Retreats gives 10% of all revenue commission collected from reservations at Tranquility Hideaway Cottage to Friends of Little River Canyon. Friends of Little River Canyon promote the natural, cultural, scenic, and recreational resources of Little River Canyon National Preserve; to protect those resources; and to assure that they are available to the public and are also here for the appreciation and enjoyment of future generations. They are a non-profit organization that recognizes Little River Canyon National Preserve as a special and nationally significant place.
