We are so glad that we chose Olivia Villas. We rented the 3 bedroom/3 bath apartment, and it was great to have plenty of room, and everyone had their own bathroom, which is a nice luxury. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the A/C worked well. The nespresso machine was also appreciated, as were the fruits Chrissa brought by. We loved the balcony on the top floor. Even though it was very hot, sitting out there in the morning and evenings was a daily ritual nd very relaxing. Chryssa was always available to assist, and we enjoyed chatting with her and getting tips on the area. We debated where to stay on the island, and we would definitely return to Olivia Villas and the Raches area. Agios Demetrios village was just down the street, and there were 2 great restaurants there (Sto Kambi and Platanos). There was also a traditional place a bit further down the street. Raches Christos was about a 15 minute walk uphill, and it was very lively there in both morning and evenings. We enjoyed walking up for coffee and morning snack. There were many restaurant choices there, as well. Lots of hiking trails in the area, but they were not very well maintained. My husband and son hiked down to the beach one day, and although it wasn't too hard, they came back with lots of scrapes and covered in dirt and thorns stuck to their socks. The trail from the apartment to Raches was better maintained and marked, as was the trail to Agios Yiannis church. The beaches in Armenistis area were great. We liked Mamakita beach the best - nice loungers, sandy beach (though a bit rocky when entering), fast and friendly service, clear waters. The only negative of our stay was the driving in Ikaria- all of the roads are narrow and very winding. It wouldn't keep up from returning, but definitely something to be aware of.

One of the best staying we ever had! The location and the villa+terasa+balcony were perfect home for us while discovering charming Ikaria. And above all, the hospitality and the way that Chrysa took care of all our needs made our vacation unforgettable. Highly recommended!!!

We liked everything about Olivia Villas …proximity to the village square was excellent where there were 2 excellent restaurants ..a short drive to the beach..everything was spotless and a very comfortable bed..very thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Nothing to dislike

The location is perfect, it is away form the main tourism spots but still close to everything (Raches, Armenistis, ...). If you are looking for something quiet but not too far off, this is the place to be. The appartement had everything we needed, a balcony, a perch, and a kitchen (although we did not cook any warm meals because the restaurants nearby were simply too good). Chrysa is the perfect host, she is very welcoming and likable. She gave us lots of good tips on what to do or where to eat. We could always ask her if we had any questions.

Nothing really - perfect stay. One night we had noisy neighbors, but there is really not much the host could do about this.
