We arrived at 11.30am so knew our room would be be ready. We were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who immediately set about giving us our all inclusive wrist bands so we could start our holiday. She told us to head back after lunch when our room would be ready. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails each, then our lunch and a walk to the promenade before checking in to our bungalow. The bungalow was decorated in white and was clean and spacious There was a lounge/diner with a sofa, English TV, and a dining area, with patio doors leading to our private outdoor seating area. There was also a bedroom to the rear and a shower room. To the rear was an enclosed garden… too hot to sit in but ideal for drying clothes on the airer. Food was good, as were drinks. There seemed to be just one drinks menu which is kept behind the bar so just ask for it. Meals can be eaten inside or outside and outdoor tables are laid at mealtimes. The resort is shielded from the wind so always warm and calm. It’s much windier outside. Mini golf was covered in gravel so couldn’t be used but we walked up a nearby volcano and also walked along the promenade to the strip of shops. Both walks were lovely, picturesque and not too far. There were 2 pools, a jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds even with people reserving theirs by 8am There was a singer on each night for entertainment. This was a lovely peaceful resort. If you’re looking for a chilled hot holiday this is the place for you.

The overall setting of the resort is excellent. Unfortuantely, some of the furnishing in the bungalows needs a replacement and the breakfast had almost no variation over 7 days.

This accommodation was hugely disappointing. Very small, with basic living furniture and in dire need of repair. On the first night the bungalow entry lock was faulty and we had to call for someone to try and open the door for us. It had to be repaired the following morning. My husband got an electric shock from some exposed wires below the bedside light. No soap was provided for the hand basin and the shower had little power with only a curtain screen. The shower plumbing was also hanging off the wall. The coffee from the machines at breakfast was undrinkable. Price-wise it was comparable with the smart hotels nearby! Maybe the price seemed more reasonable for those on an all-inclusive package which seemed to be the majority of guests.. Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights.

Reception very helpful -Sun beds brought down to our room, organised packed lunches, car hire organised Food great and very hot - also good mix of Spanish/Canarian food and international food Drinks great Bungalow spacious Maintenance friendly but there does need to be a look at the doors on the bungalows. The locks are inconsistent and need changing.

Bungalows are perfect air conditioned couch tv two chairs dining table with a decent shower and hairdryer. Wi-Fi wouldn’t work for us but we didn’t bother trying to fix it either as we didn’t really need/want it. Pool area is nice decent number of beds however it’s dead silent it’s missing some background music. We only found out on the last day that there was activities we could have done throughout the day but nobody approached us to make us aware of this. Food was good it’s all inclusive we know it’s not going to be gourmet but we had a choice every night and were pleased with everything. Staff in the restaurant were very good and abdul in the bar was very fast! Entertainment was the exact same every night one person singing 70s and 80s which was fine except they all sing the same songs so very repetitive. Overall though we went for a relaxing trip and that’s exactly what we had!

The bungalows were great as they were very quiet yet near to the prom and the facilities. They were very clean and the amenities in them were good including the beds which were comfortable and there was a fridge too. The air con was very welcome.

Did report this on you checking in feed back but the hotel incorrectly said it had been resolved with us - it had not. We didn't want to ruin our stay by complaining so left it. Loved it there and would return but would NOT pay for a sea view!

The hotel is average, wouldn’t rate it more than 2 stars! Pro - located on the south coast of the island, sea view, walking distance to bus stop, lighthouse and a few small bars/restaurants. Playas Papagayo 2 hours walk away or 30 mins/1 hour by bus/car. Cons - Basic bungalow accommodation, cold shower (hot for 30 secs only!), single beds put together to make a double, not a great variety of food at dinner time and food labels not clear (careful if you are intolerant to specific ingredients as they aren’t specified - always ask the chef), breakfast lacking of sweet spreads (chocolate/peanut butter) and burnt pancakes! Also, not the best customer service, the staff kept themselves to themselves and never even mentioned there’s a lovely sauna area with showers within the hotel.. by the time we realised there was a sauna it was too late for us to use it! And it would have been included in the price! Overall, Playa Blanca is a quiet area ideal for who wants to stay away from the busy side of Lanzarote and wants to visit the Papagayo beaches, however I’ve seen other hotels around the area which could be possibly offering a bit more than the Marconfort Bungalows. I wouldn’t personally book again.
