Nice place to stay close to the main street but very quiet. Great selection of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The unit overlooked the pool and was clean and tidy.

Bed was Comfy but bottom sheet felt rough. Too many rules, if you don’t empty your bin you get a fine. Don’t wash your dishes you get a fine and you only have a washhand basin to do this in. Shower was over a spa bath which was hard to get in and out of. Shower sprayed everywhere. Felt like I was an employee ☹️

The Regal is in a very handy position just off the main road, and easily walkable to dining options, the beach, the markets and the wharf area. It was generally quiet. We booked a studio room for 4 nights. It was equipped with fridge, toaster, cutlery etc. There is no sink apart from in the bathroom. The bath was huge with shower over. Wasn't the best choice for us with the height to get in and out of and our "maturity". Balcony off the bathroom. Bedroom is to interior of unit. Pool was lightly heated - a nice touch in August. Rooms are not serviced, which we knew. Could have done with change of towels as they got rather wet with shower over bath set up, although we did put out on drying line (there is laundry facility in parking garage). Good parking area under property. Stairs to all levels with no lifts.

Fantastic reception staff who checked us in even tho they where closing the office for the day. Friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable beds, great air con & fan, immaculately clean. Comfy outdoor patio. Shower could be a bit tricky to access for some. Enjoyed our stay & would recommend the Regal

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was exceptional.The only small feedback I would give would be that the spa was challenging to get in and out of as it was quite high and I'm very short so had to be careful.There's also a gap in between where the blinds meet so was a bit self concious that other guests would be able to see me taking a shower but other than that I wouldn't hesitate in coming back to Regal, Port Douglas.

Our 1 bedroom unit 38A on top level 3 fell short of the 4 star rating. Major issue 1 was no curtains, so the units opposite had a great view in. Close to everything in main Rd .Didn’t like the spa bath in room and the way the water went everywhere when you showered. Also the tiny little area to do tea and coffee in.Otherwise the property was good and staff friendly .

We loved every moment of our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The accommodation lived up to all expectations. We highly recommend the hotel . Also enjoyed that Port Douglas is a very walkable town with excellent dining options.

Only negatives were you had to climb into the bath to have a shower so wouldn’t recommend this to seniors or if you have back or leg troubles, the other being the stairs as there is no lift but we managed.
Overall a great place to stay and I would stay there again!

Although very close to the Main Street and local activities, we found the Regal Port Douglas to very quiet and relaxing. It provided an excellent base for our holiday activities or for a quiet time by the pool or on our balcony and in our private jacuzzi. We would certainly recommend the the Regal Port Douglas

Nice location, short walk to everything. The hotel doesn't have elevators which is not very convenient for people with heavy luggage

We stayed in a king spa room. Perfectly adequate for my husband and I. Only negative was it was a little dark in the room and we had to have the lights on during the day but it had everything we needed , was clean and comfortable and we would stay here again as it was centrally located for shops beach , bars. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was smaller than depicted in the photos but as we don’t have kids, it suited our needs. The is a little dated but charming.

Only negative was it was a little dark in the room and we had to have the lights on during the day but it had everything we needed , was clean and comfortable and we would stay here again as it was centrally located for shops beach , bars.
