Not so good. The sofa sleeper was in terrible condition. We ended up having to purchase an air mattress in order to sleep. The hotel left a baby crib in our condo by accident. They called about 4 times and emailed at least twice after I had given them permission to go in and retrieve it. I didn t appreciate being bothered that many times on my first day of vacation. And then we actually got locked out at one point. The door code was changed two days before we were due to check out. Lucky for us we returned early that day while the office was still open so they could provide the door code- otherwise I m not sure what would have happened.

The condo that we rented was horrible. #802. It was dirty from floor to ceiling. The beds had to have been 10 years old. We disliked it so much that we rented at another property after the first night. Worst experience ever in Hawaii.

Unexpected extras like the beach chairs, body boards and parasols for the beach made life so much easier. The whole complex was spotless and extremely well maintained. Each area has a security gate entry and it felt very safe.

We stayed in unit 2703. The unit was clean. The grounds of the Aston Waikoloa Colony were immaculate. The grass was mowed. The palms were trimmed. There was no trash lying anywhere. We visited both pools. The main pool had a lovely hot tub. The secondary pool, closer to our unit, was very nice. There were shaded areas at both pools so you could get out of the sun if you wanted.

They stick you with a $175 cleaning fee when you arrive and a &10.42 per day fee for internet. There were disgustingly dirty bowls in the kitchen, beige carpets with horridly black spots everywhere, lights that didn't work, dirty shower, not enough towels for 6, no complementary shampoo, only 1 roll of toilet paper and if you want your linen or towels changed you have to pay $20 per day extra. The cleaners were constantly in and out of the units garage at 8am every morning omg because apparently that's where they store their cleaning supplies. And all day and night we heard running water in the walls very loud. Not what id expect from a $400+ per night stay. Would not recommend this at all.

The registration clerk was excellent. Extremely nice and helpful. Only stayed overnight late arrival/early morning departure. Didn't make use of any amenities.

It not only served as a great base of operations, but it was very relaxing and allowed us to settle in comfortably every night. We were able to cook gourmet meals and still be able to walk to great shops and restaurants. And it served as a great place to crash at night for all of the day trips we took around the island. Definitely would stay here again.

I also had to ask for many missing kitchen items to be restocked.(kit. towels, hot pads, measuring cups, spoons, mixing bowls, wine glasses, etc. The main TV is very small. The walls and carpet are badly stained. No broom mop or vacuum cleaner was in the unit. The unit is outdated. The management is very good at making excuses but not good at making acceptable reparations. This unit should only be rented at a deep discount. I have stayed at many other condo's on the island. This unit is poorly managed. It is the first unit I have rented on the island that had no welcome basket/note of any sort in 9 years of frequent visits to the Kona / Waikoloa area. (3 -4 times a year. 1-3 weeks at a time.)This is the only unit I have been disappointed with. This was my first and will be my last stay in an Aston managed property.

We stayed in a beautiful 3 bd condo in the Colony Villas. The location is awesome. You are right across from the HGV Bay Club on Beach Boulevard. Everything is so close in this area. We had a car but the kids rented scooters and could get everywhere they needed to go. The accommodations were very spacious and clean. This is a condo so you do not have some of the luxuries of the hotels; maid service is every other day and linens are changed every 5 days. There is a good supply of kitchen items. You will need to bring everything that you need to cook with ( salt, pepper etc) There are no hourly charges for tennis which was a huge plus for us. They had better tennis courts then the Hilton Waikaloa courts. The pool area was beautiful but small so it could get busy. It is close to A bay which has free parking and a great beach with free lounge chairs if you get their early enough. You are 15min from beach 69( mile marker) and Hapuna beach going away from Kona and 15 min from the state beach between mile marker 87-88 which was our favorite beach. I would stay here again for sure.

It is a condo afterall. Service can't be compared to regular hotel services. Maid service happens every other day. Nobody in the front desk after 6pm.

Beautiful property in a very nice location. The 2 bedroom condo was new and beautifully furnished. Good shopping and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. You do need a car to see the island.

We used this as a "tag end" to a family vacation when we couldn't extend our stay at another resort. It proved to be perfect.

We were 4 adultsand 2 teens. The three bedroom unit we had was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was huge and we were able to spread out and not feel like we were tripping over each other. The staff were friendly and the unit was clean. The bbq by the pool was great and we used it every night during our stay.
