This is a nice place to stay right in the centre of Minden. We arrived late and the pub was closed, but the instructions were clear and we found our way without any problem. Super clean and very comfy bed. No complaints whatsoever. We would stay there again.

The Dominion was the only place available last minute on a long weekend. There was a very good reason for this - it's atrocious. The rooms are tiny, the walls are paper thin (you can hear guests talk in other rooms as though they were in yours), bathroom was filthy (tub had several areas of what looked like black mold), rooms are not refreshed for multi-night stays, etc. Totally not worth the money - it should be compared to a very low grade motel. We have no issues paying $250/night, but that price point comes with certain expectations that go beyond what's delivered here. We've been home from this vacation for a week and still irritated by this part of our vacation. We were desperate due to a last minute change in plans and we paid for it. Moral of the story: Book early, but book elsewhere.

Historic property with well kept rooms above a popular local restaurant. Located right in the heart of town within easy walking distance of shops and river. Check in is at the bar, and there may not be hotel staff after hours. Very clean and well located with ample parking.

We had booked a 9 night stay. I don’t expect someone to check our room everyday but the housekeeper came after two nights and then not again until night 9, by then our garbage was overflowing. She did put clean sheets on the bed at that time which made no sense since we were leaving in the morning. Our room needed sweeping which I kept trying to do with paper towel. If nobody is going to check in on things that often then an extra garbage bag left and maybe a broom to sweep up the sand would have been nice. The restaurant below the rooms had excellent food and awesome staff.

No carpet - just area rug in room was great! Comfortable bed. Air conditioning was not quite up to the task of the extreme heat that evening..

Our room was huge and had a great large area to sit and talk. We had a friend over to chat up. Loved it! The bed was very comfortable. The shower was soooo good in the morning. Got our moneys worth.

It was just a one night stay on my way somewhere else. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was a little noisy at times being over the restaurant and bar. Also when people came up or down the stairs I could here them. It is an old building so I guess it was to be expected.

This hotel was perfect! It has a downtown location. The bar/restaurant in the main floor was great. We were within walking distance of a riverfront walkway and brewery.

We stayed for a week and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice to have a restaurant in the Hotel. In the kitchenette we were hoping to be able to use a stove top to make simple meals during the week but we only had a microwave which did not make they possible. Also one of the beds was very soft. Other than that I would recommend it.

The hotel is right downtown. it is an old building on the outside. Interior facilities has been brought up-to-date, nothing fancy but okay. Washroom can use a blind instead of a lace curtain. There is a pub restaurant downstairs. Food is okay. Afterhours downtown Minden is quiet. The river walk across the hotel is nice for a stroll. All in all, a little overprice with what one is getting.
