Wonderful building architecture, unfortunately not well maintained

Delightful pool. Central location. Dramatic lobby. Good breakfast and overall value for money.

Some staff had limited English.

I was a guest for over a week. The restaurant staff, and front desk were very helpful. I was able to get to know the staff on a first name basis. Kind employees who care about their guests.

I didn't feel that my bed was comfortable. Very hard, stiff mattress. I also felt the layout of the room could have been different. There were no tissues in the room. There could have been room decor to add a touch of art to the room.

Breakfast was good (and available early), although the orange juice was not freshly squeezed (Paraguay is always on season for fresh oranges), the beds were excellent, pillows too, good location if you are not renting a car, plenty of good options nearby for eating and drinking after work

The desk in my room was too close to the bed, not enough room to work comfortable, other than that, nothing to complain about

the fuerhiture is old, the te are a balcony without a chair, the staff is friendly but not prepared to properly solve situations. The quality of ten food is poor. there is no one at the pool to get towels are a drink. I was 5 minutes ringing the room service and no one got the phone…

Historic place and excellent location for a city walk. Works for the money.

Rooms are a little outdated.

Clean, comfortable, safe, all works as one expects it to work. But most of all exceptionally incredible staff who went above and beyond their duty to help me with flights/ bureaucracy!

Nothing. Only a suggestion to make the place even better…have a little bar corner for light breakfast/ break that is not the restaurant and work all over the day, for someone who needs to work there and wants a little treat :-) that would be amazing! but again, just an extra suggestion, not a miss!

Wonderful classy hotel in the middle of everything. The pool is amazing, with awesome views. Staff is world-class and first-rate. Breakfast is fantastic. Plus, the hotel is both a historic landmark and totally up-to-date. Highly recommended!

The bed is to firm

The location of the hotel is great- it used to be the symbol of the city and if your purpose of the stay is to be as close to the city center as possible, hotel Guarani is the place to be. Also, the staff of the hotel is exceptional, and I haven’t experienced such hospitality anywhere else- they have solution to anything guests aant and it’s all being done asap.

Although the suite was very spacious, it definitely requires some refurbishing, esp. the living room area (couch, sofa, etc.) There was not so much light in the room neither.

Great location in centro historico of Asuncion. Receptionists speaks English, which is pretty rare in Paraguay. The restaurant serves excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed in room. Their pool with the beautiful view was possible to use even during the deepest winter (+30°C) and of course I used it!

The breakfast was a plate of hams, cheeses, croissants and some chipa; as well as coffee and tea service; which was nice. The hotel also had an outdoor pool, which I wasn't able to use due to the inclement weather on the dates I was staying in. However, it is a nice option if you stay during the summer. Very respectful counter and cleaning staff. The location is very centric, which makes it easy to walk to attractions. However, the area is dead quiet on weekends.

I was charged a different amount of that quoted to me through booking.com. I was told that booking.com doesn't account for the full amount of taxes that needed to be paid. However, I would have liked for this to be disclose upon check-in and not to be surprised with a different bill during checkout.
