The only thing we liked was the location. We traveled to the mainland to attend a funeral held in Tsawwassen.

We found the room disgusting. The floor was sticky and we didn't want to take our shoes off. My daughter thought the mirror over the sink was a cabinet when she tried to open it and it turned out to be hiding a gross hole in the wall. The exhaust fan for the stove top was sealed over with duct tape. I went to make coffee and found an old used moldy filter still inside. YUCK. Someone seemed to think that a closed container of Baking Powder in the Fridge was the same thing as an open container of Baking Soda. What planet are these people on? You had to turn sideways to enter the bathroom because the door hit the shower wall and would only open part way. The AC in the back bedroom was scary and the moulding underneath had warped due to obvious dripping. My daughter told me that during the night she found gross stuff on her bed. She thought it was coming from the ceiling, but we have no idea! These are a few of things we found disgusting. I have worked for many years in the Tenant Improvement, New Home Construction, Renovation Industry to be able to say many of these things are serious code violations!!

Efficient reservation process and staff followed up with me regarding an inadvertent error I made on the request. Upon arrival the desk clerk was very helpful, informative and efficient.

The room we had in general was in need of a refurbishment; it is an old property. The bedroom area was roomy, the bed linens clean and fresh and the mattress comfortable. However, there was dust in corners, under furniture and it looks like something had been clawing at the bedsprings under the bed. The bathroom, especially the bath/shower has what looks black black mould on the grout, dust, hair on the wall heater, toilet seat needs a good scrub underneath and floor tiles cracked and tiles need cleaning and re-grouting. I recommend a complete renovation.

Cleanliness and state of room

The location is great. Close to the beach and amenities.

The room was dirty and dusty. Nothing had been really cleaned in quite awhile. The stove and oven need a good cleaning. Had to clean the burner before using because of grease. The filter on the fan is full of dust. Tiles are cracked badly and one was broken and came loose when I stepped on it.The bathtub is chipped. The tub faucet is loose. The bathtub plug had mold on it. Dirty baseboards. Very dirty and stained grout. There were silverfish in the bathroom. The ceiling in the bathroom has marks all over it. Not sure if it's from water or if it's mold. The only thing that was acceptable was the linen was clean. We would not stay there again.

Very great location. Big rooms. Close to ocean and ferry. Kitchen is big and the owners were very nice. Would definitely stay again. Good cheap hotel.

Could use a deep clean (baseboards and walls washed) otherwise facilities were very clean. Good stay. Will be back.

Everything needs a deep clean, there is dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The bathroom door doesn't close and the bed feels like it's about to break.

The whole space was in very poor condition. The space heater did not work and we were freezing during the night sleeping on the small, uncomfortable double bed with no extra blankets. There was no security lock on the inside door. We tested the smoke detector and it didn't work, was not hard wired and no battery. The toilet was running and my husband lifted the lid to find the flush connection wasn't connected and had to manually lift the valve to flush it by reaching into the toilet tank. A lot of the floor trim was in bad shape, especially the glue on vinyl trim on the bathtub. The bottom of the door and trim had rotting wood. There was a hole in the wall next to the bed, exposing the pipes to the bathtub and an electric outlet. There was a plastic cover intended to hide the hole, laying on the floor when we arrived and there was a dank smell coming from it. I wouldn't call a tiny room with an old tv stand being used as a counter, NO SINK, a tiny fridge and a microwave, a kitchenette. There was dust webs hanging in the bathroom and above the bed, and the bottom of the boxspring was ripped and the fabric was hanging on the floor which was covered in thick dust.

Excellent location. Good accommodation for a family i.e. 2 bedroom and kitchenette.

The room was cold as there was only one baseboard heater that did not work well. There were no extra blankets for the bed. Also no outlets in the bathroom. The lighting was poor.

This is a great location in Beach Grove. Sadly, it needs a lot of upgrading! The bed was tolerable, the a/c was loud. The bathroom had deep down grime. We weren’t expecting much, and it did not meet our expectations! Staff were friendly, but check-in wasn’t swift. Still waiting for our $100 damage deposit, hopefully it arrives today.
