I stay here because of the excellent location. The staff is really great. The rooms are large. I also liked the brand of the lotion, shampoo, and conditioner.

The coffee wasn't the best and needs to be much better. The plug for the tub was missing in my room.

The staff gave my room away and texted me a few times trying to get me to cancel the reservation before arriving.

a water main leak next door shut water off for 2 of our 3 night stay. (understand not hotel fault) HOWEVER, nothing was communicated to us, no additional water was provided except 1 bottle at breakfast. can’t go to the store for ice? juice? water? was unable to cook in our room. chose this hotel for kitchen facilities. room not cleaned once during 3 night stay. is the standard lower in california?

The location is convenient too it daughter in Berkeley. Or water view was very pretty. The complimentary breakfast is helpful.

The rooms are in need of refreshing. All furnishing including curtains appear to be original from when we first visited in 2011. Don’t like carpeting near bathroom sink. Don’t know why we couldn’t get a king bed in our water view room. The “queen” bed felt like a double bed.

The facility was clean and he everything we needed. we would probably let go back and stay there again.

the parking lot was full of shattered glass from vehicles getting broken back into, saw a bum searching through the garbage can out in front of our patio. it did not feel safe. the carpet in the hall was worn and the hallways and rooms smelled really bad at check in.the bedding super out dated. the maids don’t come unless you call and even when we did call they still did not come one day!!

The staff was nice and accommodating, breakfasts/happy hour were good and had different selection of foods each day, view was nice, centrally located to where we needed to be. It was great for our large group (baseball team).

Bathroom smelled slightly of cigarette smoke. Cost was a little higher than value but it was a busy time due to baseball tournaments.
