no robes in room, had to ask for them. very little bathroom supplies for a luxury spa resort, only one small bar of soap. no coffee in room and nothing to stir coffee tea with. had to ask staff for stir sticks. no drinking glasses in washrooms…had to use coffee mugs to rinse mouth with.

I took my wife here for a couple of nights to celebrate her birthday. The location is awesome and the view from the room was incredible. My wife and I loved that there was a little fireplace in our room and that the place was extremely clean. The three-course meal at dinner was excellent and above our expectations and worth the price. The free breakfast wasn't much but it was good and we liked that they left tea bags at the front for guests. I didn't end up getting a massage at the spa, but my wife did and said it was excellent.

It was extremely disappointing that the hot tub at the spa was not working and that there was no notification about this prior to booking and no information anywhere on the website about this amenity being out of service. This was a major factor in my decision to book here over another hotel on a nearby island. Some of the staff at the hotel were a bit offputting or cold and I felt that I had to needlessly explain myself at times. After my wife and I arrived, I wanted to see the menu even though I knew the dining room was closed for the night (I was hoping to see what they had for the following night and check out the dining area). I tried to go to the dining area where the menu was but before I even got up the stairs I was immediately questioned by the person at the front desk about what I was doing. I tried to explain that I wanted to see the dinner menu but before I could do that I was told the dining room was closed in such a weird tone that I ended up saying OK and leaving. Our server at dinner the first night was nice but wasn't as openly friendly with us as she was with the other guests. On the second day in the late afternoon/evening hours, the dining area was crammed with people lining up to attend an art gallery that opened up in another room. After waiting a while to be seated at one of the many empty tables, I ended up sitting at one myself and then was directed to sit at a table in another area where they seat people for happy hour. This table was near the long line of people and near the door. I then asked if I could just go back to the table I was sitting at in the first place and explained that it was cold and noisy where I was seated. Thankfully, I was allowed to go back but I felt that the entire thing could have been avoided if more situational awareness by staff. Lastly, the wifi at the hotel was the worst of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Given these experiences and what I paid to stay here, I likely wouldn't come back.

Overall accommodation was amazing. Jacuzzi tub was amazing, comfortable bed, clean and overall a wonderful stay😊 the aesthetics were gorgeous, the staff were friendly and accommodating and it was super easy to find. The fire in the room was super fun. The restaurant was amazing. I had allergies that they worked around extremely professionally and made me feel comfortable trusting them. 11/10 for that alone. Major props for that. I will be back.

The wifi only lasted about 10 mins before it would take a 5 min reboot. Slow internet I'd understand on a small island, but the cycle of online and offline connection was a lot annoying. Maybe making sure finding the fire extinguisher was clearly marked better would be nice? I'm glad it was in the room, but it was hidden behind the fridge and didn't have any signs.

There was not a coffee station in the room. The coffee supplied with the room was for a drip coffeemaker supplied was a French press. There was nowhere to plug in the kettle unless it was on the floor. The only place to fill the kettle was the bathtub. The room thermostat was not user friendly, the room was either too hot or cold. The cleanliness of the room was not good there were piles of dust on the ceiling fan. we were not informed until we were leaving that there was a breakfast basket available.

Lack of staff and who we did see were not very friendly, restaurant hours, hot tub had no jets. Was over priced, not very clean and there was not enough hot water available for the private bath.

Location! Steps to the beach and gorgeous views from the room made this an amazing stay with our two young kids. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathtub and wood burning fireplace on our patio were well used and so relaxing! It’s so convenient right beside the ferry terminal.

It definitely felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel. We really didn’t have interactions with hotel staff and the were only open from 9-5pm but often didn’t answer the phone or reply to emails during those hours. We didn’t have our room cleaned or garbage taken out during our 3 nights. There was a general lack of housekeeping throughout the property which is probably a result of the busy summer season and not having enough staff. Despite this, we loved our stay and would come again.

Smelly

Beautiful room with a view and lots of amenities. Lovely ladies at front desk. Dining room staff excellent and food was superb. Great service.

There was a rusty recycling bin outside our room which was an eyesore. The compost was never picked up. Instructions to leave towels in a bag outside the room. Also never picked up the entire 3 night stay. Always had to ask for breakfast box. Breakfast box was the almost the same everyday. Very uninteresting and the muffins must have been frozen, tasted like store bought ones. Promised bottled water when the water was being fixed and had to ask once again for bottled water. Staff at front desk seemed to be running around looking for things.

The location, view, restaurant and spa were great. Galiano Island is a beautiful place and totally unique. The restaurant staff were so nice and friendly and the food was totally exceptional. The spa was a lovely bonus and Chelsea gave me a wonderful facial.

The water in our bathroom was green and filthy and the reception staff who dealt with it were terrible and just gave us 4 bottles of water and told us to run the taps as a solution!! We had to really fight to get maintenance out and he was the only person who was helpful. We asked to delay our restaurant booking as this had delayed us so much and reception said No!! After a while and maintenance asking too she did do something about this!! No reduction on our bill for this until my husband asked for it. Such a pity as it really spoilt a lovely stay and it all came down to one terrible member of staff who really didn't know how to deal with a problem which was unacceptable.

That one night when there was no water . But its okay it happens and the staff help us to connect to the maintenance of the building .

I liked the quiet and peaceful location, the facilities in rooms 16 and 21 where I stayed, the view was great, all staff very helpful. Very comfortable rooms, and restaurant had small selection but very good quality.

Stayed for one night in room 4, which was older, small, lacked facilities and in need of a renovation. This room was ludicrously over priced compared with rooms 16 and 21. Breakfast was very basic and simple.

Well cared for, spacious, beautiful location, large garden areas.

Location was lovely, with patio overlooking the water so we could watch the ferries come and go. Gardens by the Spa were beautiful (though unkempt). Ample parking. Independent bakery/ coffee shop nearby was very good, as was the bookstore. Fireplaces in rooms were easy to light and lots of firewood. Tenderloin steak was cooked perfectly.

Booking: complete nuisance as I kept getting confirmations and reminders for dates that had long been changed, and asked to review the room before we had even arrived. Another email saying they were looking forward to seeing us after we had already left. Room: obligatory two night stay but nowhere to put our coats or shoes on entry, no place to put our suitcases and no drawers for clothes. There was a self-serve coffee/tea station in the lobby but no kettle, and a kettle in our room but no coffee so we had to keep going back and forth with things. Only paper cups for drinking water instead of glasses. Bedside lights were very flimsy and hard to find on-off switch. Staff only available from 9-5, so difficult to get hold of anyone when the power in our bathroom went out - when they did come, they only brought some tealight candles and a lantern with dead batteries. Bedding very thin, no-one to bring another blanket after 5 pm. Bathroom: very cold tile floors but no slippers or mat. No hairdryer in room and no-one around to get us one until after 9 a.m. Restaurant: Dinner was tasty but lukewarm and very limited options. Only one server so she was rushed off her feet. Breakfast was underwhelming - a plastic cup of granola and berries, a stale muffin and an apple. Couldn't pick it up until after 9 a.m. Restaurant not open Mondays and Tuesdays and nowhere else close by to eat after 6 p.m. (ferry arrives at 5:45)

Beautiful location, all rooms with ocean view. We had a suite which was nice because of the kitchen but pretty sterile in decor. Only interacted with one staff member but she was terrific at the front desk.

There is a tub on the front deck but not enough hot water from the water heater to have it be hot enough to enjoy for any length of time. The water came out brownish and there was a lot of grit at bottom of tub when it emptied. I asked the front desk about this and was told that it was properly filtered but I don’t think that was true.
