Came up for a Christmas stay with my husband and our two senior Basset Hounds during what turned out to be the worst storm in years and couldn't have been more snug, safe, and happy. Beautifully appointed (updated) and fully equipped tiny cabin with a perfect view of the lake. Generators ensured this was one of the few properties in the area that maintained power throughout. (HUGE) And the helpful, friendly owners kept the paths and parking spaces fully plowed in what became almost a metre of non-stop snowfall (and much higher drifts!) over four days. The beauty of the surrounding area was magical (we managed a few hikes during breaks in the storm) and never wanted for a thing throughout our stay. A short vacation we will never forget — for all the right reasons.

While the cottage was compact it was beautifully appointed. The furnishings were well placed to give a sense of space. It had everything we needed. The location was great as we were just outside of Algonquin Park. The cottage was located just across the road from a lake, so we had beautiful views. The hosts were very accommodating.

The location is excellent for trips in the area, it has a nice private beach , the cabin we rented was clean and pleasant to stay and the price is reasonable.

With the exception of a small soap, the unit has no amenities in the bathroom. The landlord explained to me that this is not a hotel and he does not provide shampoo and shower gel. As tourists, this was a problem for us, especially since we arrived late afternoon and the nearest store where we could stock up was about 10km away and closed already.

The place is really nice. It has all kind of facilities for families, and also for couples. We had a great time just looking at the lake. The views are fantastic. It was quite. Mature clients. Very friendly staff and helpful. Great lakefront.

the location in the lake is beautiful and is perfect for getting into the Algonquin park for hikes every day. very clean and the stuff extremely helpful and nice. we loved our stay at the cottage

Clean and cozy cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. The water front was beautiful with facilities for fire pit. The office had games, books, hair dryers, cables etc that one can borrow. Highly recommend!

8 beautiful cottages right on the lake

Kitchen facility was complete as promised. I really don't need to bring anything except food. Cottage is exceptionally clean. Jeff is very pleasant and accommodating. Resolved minor issues. Hope they will include shampoo, body wash and conditioner in their bathroom.

Great location for the west side of Algonquin Provincial Park. Overlooking Oxtongue Lake. Close to Dwight for supplies and gas. Quiet at this time of year, midweek.

Staff (owner) wasnt friendly or obliging. Asked ifor early check in and was refused , turned out we were the ONLY ones there friday!. Then asked if we could check at noon to enjoy a hike and was flat out refused again, again, a very quiet weekend. Not going again.

Location and cleanliness is good. Kitchen is kept clean with cooking utensils. Cable TV is good with many channels.

I do not enjoy the bunk bed as there is no ladder. It is not easy to get on with the side bar, if the bar is removed, I don't feel safe sleep on the upper bed. Small kitchen with the rectangle table, can not use the bench when a person is cooking.

The place is easy to find,close to all places like the provincial park.It’s right on the front of the Oxtongue Lake…
