The beds were very hard and our view was of a fence, we were supposed to have a balcony but instead we were had 1st floor with no view

I love this hotel, the room was perfect clean,comfy, a lot of space. Food at the restaurant was awesome excellent service from staff, the location was perfect we walk until the pier the view was insane 😍 I would recommend this place 100% the aquarium was great we so a lot of sea animals it was a great get away ✨

The worst hotel ever. This place does a lot of false advertising. It was a total rip off. Do not stay that this hotel. I would remove it from bookings.com.

I liked how the hotel was walking distance from everything and restaurants.

The bathroom wasn’t as clean as expected to be and when house keeping came around they didn’t clean properly and only left large towels no hand towels or rags.

We loved the beach access even though the private beach is about 50yards long and packed beginning early in the morning. Market surf shop and liquor store are all right across the street. Location is crammed with tons of stores nearby everything within arms reach

The crazy rules. No personal chairs or umbrellas on the beach if you choose not to rent their chairs then you'll be able to lay a towel down BEHIND all the chairs all food and drinks must come from their attached bar and grill cabanas which was 32 bucks for 2 drinks. The entire property is strict no smoking or vaping AT ALL pool closes at 830pm sharp. The parking garage is a tight fit for anything bigger than a car. The corners are sharp and most suvs have to do 3 point turns to maneuver around the garage entrance and exit. Security patrols the beach and pool from 8am to 10pm. Due to conservation housekeeping is by request only and must be requested the night before.

Did NOT like the aquarium, which is somehow associated with the hotel. I hate to be negative but it was a huge letdown. I did not expect it to be like the Atlanta aquarium but I did expect more live animals. The dinosaur “exhibit” and lady dressed up like a jellyfish blowing bubbles seemed so gimmicky. 😔

Loved the whole stay

Staff was very helpful and accommodating to all our vacation needs. Coffee was also hot and tasty in the front lobby!

Location was great for us. It felt very comfortable and a little away from the busy Pier60

The room was clean and the decor was fitting with the "Winter [dolphin]" theme of the property. I liked having both a mini fridge AND a microwave, which is rarely an included appliance in most hotel rooms. The boutique-style property managed to strike a balance between a laid-back, casual vibe while still providing all of the basic comforts one would need when traveling, which was refreshing, compared to many of the "newer" hotels on the beach, which are very upscale and charge accordingly.

The balcony could have been a little larger and the chairs provided could have been more comfortable. Speaking of chairs....it would be nice if they would provide "x" number of chairs and an umbrella with their rate, rather than charging extra per day, but then again, that would probably be transferred into a higher Resort fee, and some [guests] may not use that service.

Easy access to everything

Housekeeping schedule could be done every other day. Guests shouldn’t have to ask for services when needed. Sand accumulates on the floor & in the the linens! Designated smoking areas shouldn’t be in some alley. Walking through a parking garage at night didn’t feel safe. There should be an area on the beach so you can have your coffee in the morning & smoke. Balconies should have smoking access. Outstanding bar should allow smoking area, you’d sell more beverages. We dropped over $100 a night at Shepard’s!! Other smokers we met had similar comments. Other then feeling shunned it was a decent hotel.

Dirty dirty dirty I stayed 6 nights and didn't even have my room cleaned ONCE! had to get my own broom.

I loved the view from our room and the ocean-facing balcony. The beach was beautiful too.

No fault of the hotel, but we had to leave because of the hurricane.

I love the location and the daily towel rental is so convenient. Rooms were nice. Cleaning staff was nice. Rental chairs on beach are a reasonable price.

I come to Clearwater every year and this is my second time back to this hotel. I don't mind paying for things if they are decently priced but I felt as though there are a few things that were a little over the top. Restaurant is too pricey for breakfast. $2 to add cheese to my eggs, $4 for one pancake. The service was really slow in there as well. Staff was nice but a little slow. I totally felt hustled with the parking. I just think it is bad business to charge your guests $20 day for parking.. Honestly, I feel like we shouldn't be charged at all, but if it has to be a charge, it should be less expensive. Staff on beach didn't seem like they really wanted to work.. one day, I had a server wait on us at chairs, next day, different server didn't even leave the bar area so I had to come to bar for drinks. Just inconsistent. We will probably stay at winters again but the parking really bothered us so I will look for alternatives before I book for next year. Come every year for daughters birthday
