I had a couple day excursion with my dogs. The bungalow was perfect for our needs. And can’t beat the location!

Nice stay for families who are looking for a convenient location in Pacific Grove.
We liked the location. Kid friendly room.
Customer Service skills for part time staff needs improvement. Furniture in living area can be updated. (We didn’t have pets with us, but the room would be perfect if you brought your pets). We did not have a dining area that was in our room description.

Very adequate accomodations but wish there was a chair set up outside for personal use.
quiet property despite many people,nice remodeled room with high ceiling and roomy. The beds were comfortable . We didn't use the shower so can't comment.
ice machine was out of order. Kitchen chairs look nice but,in fact, are very hard. Cushions in chairs would be great but we'll just remember to bring our own.

Peaceful pocket of heaven
We love cottages! This experience was beyond my expectations. The google reviews do not compare to the property.. possible went through renovations. Our room was delightful and felt like a little apartment. Very quaint and cozy. The ceiling fan was nice. The windows opened for fresh air. Bathroom fan/ventilation was pretty good.. the window opened as well which was nice. The property is waking distance to the beach which we didn’t do this time but have done in the past at a neighboring cottage. We have to say Sea Breeze is our new favorite! Great value for the money.
Maybe a pamphlet in the room on how to work the fire put would be great! We couldn’t figure it out but loved the area at night.

please choose somewhere else especially families with children - just little short of cowboy hotel
while objectively speaking the place itself was not bad at all, it is however overpriced. we suck up the price because its the last leg of our holiday and we thought of staying somewhere nice as our finale. it didn't live up to our expectation though for the reason that there is below minimum customer service and appliances inside the room were majority if not all either broken or filthy. to establish credentials, we are kinda big user of booking.com staying in places in different parts of the world. on our reviews, we try to be as objective as possible to help other travelers as we also rely on reviews for places we haven't been. i could barely remember rating an accommodation this bad. in general, ive always believed quality of product (regardless of which industry) and customer experience has to be aligned to achieve success.
while this accommodation is not bad, it isnt superb at all to outshine places nearby (which probably has more competitive prices) their customer service will win the olympics of the most horrible experience. we understand they might have shortage of cleaning staff as written on their welcome letter and that you have to inform them if you want cleaning. thats fair, thats one of the limitations normal humans has to meet halfway provided there is at least professional if not polite dialogue as a bare minimum. had a little run with this guy TJ on our first morning to ask for something and had that impression that, oh not very pleasant person, but thats ok, brushed it off and carried on. i have mentioned to him on that particular moment too that if possible, we would like to have cleaning on the room or atleast collect rubbish and change floormats, the beds i can do along with other stuff. first day was alright, second day, after a day out, it wasnt cleaned so husband went to reception to be greeted so unpleasantly with so much lack of empathy by this guy TJ. fast forward i had to return and speak to him myself, again, the very unpleasant human. while i thought that could be bad, i demanded to speak to his superior and outright lied none's available not even a mobile he can call! gave a generic email in gmail of a man named ROSS PATTEL. as he went inside, a very strong Indian accent voice was shouting at TJ horribly. what terrifies me is the fact that this man to have a guts to shout at TJ, he sure is more superior than him. and the whole time watching us. rather than dealing with a customer and showing his employee- who has no idea of the job description- of how it should be done, he would rather watch and shout. in the end i felt bad for TJ. i would love to be more particular of what unfolded but for limited number of words here i have to be vague. mister at the back door, am sure you will reply on this review, could have done that dialogue when we there!

Long-time Repeat Guests, Not Likely To Return Again
My family and friends (with my recommendations) have stayed at the Sea Breeze Inn multiple times over the years, often taking several rooms at a time and for multi-weeks stays. PG was our hometown, decades ago, and we return several times every year, with multiple short visits plus one longer stay each year for a minimum of four weeks or longer during the summer. While we rent a house for the longer stays, we've always also booked a hotel for whenever everyone together exceeds the number of beds in the rented home, as well as for visits that are shorter than four weeks. Over the years, we have stayed in many hotels and inns in the area, many repeatedly, including Seven Gables Inn, the Asilomar Conference Center, Intercontinental Hotel, Monterey Plaza Hotel, Centrella Inn, Hotel Pacific, Martine Inn, and Sea Breeze Inn, as well as Cypress Inn, Post Ranch Inn, Ventana Inn and others in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur. We have almost always selected Sea Breeze Inn, especially when we need additional rooms beyond the home we've rented. We love the location and familiarity our families have had with the Inn. And we really appreciated the former owner's dedication towards maintaining the inn, personally working to help maintain/fix up the property, and his warm interactions with the guests. Unfortunately, during the past three stays, we have noticed a complete change in attitude by the staff towards guests. It is no longer warm, nor one of caring about guests' stay or comfort. It is purely a business transaction, a rather cold one at that. The first time we felt the change, we asked about the owner. We learned then that the Inn had recently sold and had new owners. We thus chalked that experience off to transition bumps. Sadly, what we felt then has continued as the norm. As much as we'd like to return again, we feel this may have been the last time, at least for the foreseeable future and have already made other plans for our next visit.
