How clean the room! The design was modern.

I wish there was more adequate lighting. Like white light where we can read. Overall, the room was great.

Comfy rooms Staff very helpful and friendly Really comfy rooms and lovely bathrooms. Odd to enter the Sailor suite by main road but it was fine! Bike was great.

Bath was little deep for my elderly mom! No bottle opener in the Sailor suite! Breakfast was basic but lot of waste - know there is no kitchen but all disposable plates and cutlery and eggs in plastic.

We were expecting a larger room. Way too small No view or windows that opened. Shower knobs very confusing , Old. Would never use booking . Com again.

We traveled to Newport Beach from San Diego for our 38-year anniversary. We were looking for a hotel at the beach when we arrived. We lucked upon the Newport Beach Hotel, as we were strolling by the restaurants and shops along the boardwalk. Our rate through Booking.com was better than what we were quoted in the lobby. So, we went with that. When talking with the front desk, they offered us two separate rooms and even allowed us to preview each one. We chose the Queen Spa Room, which has a large skylight over the tub/shower and a glass block wall. This brought in great natural light into the room and was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was also very comfy. Nice Linens and 4 big fluffy pillows. They had bikes that we could borrow available in the lobby as well as beach chairs, towels and other amenities as well. This hotel is in a building that is over 100-years old. But they way they have utilized the space is very nice. The views in the available sitting areas at both the ground level and level 2 are amazing. Breakfast was also included with our stay. A healthy and selection of bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee and many other items. This was an incredible stay for us. We are already trying to book for next year. If you are looking for a very nice boutique style hotel with amazing location and view, you won't be disappointed.

We had no complaints. This is an older hotel building. But they have maintained it very well. the water was being turned off the next day for repairs to piping. But it did not interrupt any of our stay.

Our room was in need of some major cleanup. Could not even take a shower or bath because there was mold and residue in “spa” bath. I was actually embarrassed as I booked this for a surprise for my husband and our 30th anniversary.

Sitting in the common area upstairs above the reception area while watching the sunset, was the best part of our trip. My wife will be smiling for days. Highly recommend.

Our room was very small. And no operable window allowing for fresh air to flow was a small downside. Also, the water pressure in the shower was very low.

That the beach was just right there and that the Restaurant's were within walking distance. Very friendly staff

A mini fridge in the room. It was a big hassle lugging an ice chest up and down the stairs.
