I liked the location, but had a horrible experience when I got a dozen bug bites on the inside of both my lower legs.

This is old school charm at its best. The Intercontinental really did provide a 5* service from start to finish. The understand the true value of customer service and have it down to a fine art. From Concierge to the breakfast staff everyone made the experience an enjoyable one for our family. Cannot wait to go back!

This is our favorite hotel in Boston. 5 to 10 minute walk to just about everything. Bathtubs in the bathrooms are fantastic. Staff is great.

Only the bedroom and location.
Only made aware of lack of facilities and ongoing construction work - swimming pool closed, restaurant and lounge areas curtained off - after booking made. Expensive stay considering. I couldn’t even get a cup of tea at the bar. I was told by the bar staff to contact room service or take a kettle to my room, make the tea there and bring it down to the foyer if I didn’t want to stay in my room! Bizarre and disappointing for a so called 5* hotel.

the location was great - especially since we arrived on the train and it was so close. The staff was excellent, everyone was always helpful and friendly. I also loved the area in the back of the hotel to be able to relax, have a drink with a great view.
when we arrived, we were told that the hotel was acquired. as a result there were renovations occurring and the restaurants were not available. I would have liked to have been told previously to determine if I wanted to cancel and move to another hotel. we were celebrating my birthday so I would have liked the hotel to be "perfect" : )

7th floor room with a view. cleanliness of room was a bonus. staff was great. Front Desk Supervisor Inilta is exceptional.
I did not like where the breakfast area is. Hopefully that gets moved out from the lobby.

You got me a room at the last minute which was really helpful. I hadn't stayed with you for 10 years and it was nice to see to be back - I do though miss the lively bar.

It smelled so good when you first entered the hotel. The staff were amazing and super helpful.
The staff printed out a finisher certificate for everyone who ran in the Boston Marathon that day, I have never experienced that anywhere else. They cheered and applauded as each runner made their way in through the main lobby.
It was super easy to walk anywhere around and within the city. It was about 1.3 miles to the running trail along the harbor and a quick ride to the airport. I loved my stay here!

Location was excellent for my business travel needs. Room service was prompt and the food was delicious.

Location. Friendly staff
Renovating the main floor so you didn’t have access to any of their restaurants except this small area for a $40 breakfast. The loudness of the renovation doesn’t allow you to have a phone conversation on the main floor BUT you also can’t go up to the meeting floors bc they are all occupied. Bar in the rear of the property accommodates about 10 people so could never go in there for a drink. Room service delivered wrong order.
IC has the audacity to charge almost $500/night during this renovation period and you get no true value in return. I should have went 1000 feet down to Harbor Hotel

Nice location, walking distance from everything in Boston. Rooms were big and comfortable, same for the bed and the bathroom. Adam the concierge was awesome; really nice guy and trying to help or assist with tips of the city all the time
When we booked pool was supposed not to work from Nov 2023 until 23rd Dec 2023. We arrived 26the Dec and to learn the pool was still not available was a downer. Especially as we booked with the pool in mind. Secondly, a 5 star hotel that does not serve coffee in the hotel bar…at least that is what we were told be the people in the bar. Guess they were just lazy as you could order coffee for room service, and you had coffee for breakfast. Their reply was there is a Starbucks nearby. Very frustrating. Room service is supposed to be available until 11pm. We tried to order from the front desk at 10:45pm (as were just arriving the hotel from a day out in the city) to gain time they said they could not do that for us, to go to the concierge. The concierge said he could not do it, that we better head to the bar directly. In the bar they said kitchen closed. But it was 10:45!! Not 11pm. Very frustrating again, and certainly not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Felt the people in the bar, front desk and concierge were just lazy (except Adam that was great).

Room is clean and comfy. Staffs are friendly and nice.
Only able to grab couple of coffee in the morning. Try to grab a coffee in the afternoon but non available. The small refrigerator is a decoy. No room to put a soda or water in. TV hang on an odd angle which is not directly to the bed.

Great home base for exploring Boston--even for people from the nearby suburbs like us. The room was HUGE for being centrally located in a city. The bathtub was clean and great for a soak. Love how the bed was towards the back of the room to minimize noise from the nearby elevators.
The pillows were a little squishy for my liking. But this is a major nitpick--everything was so great.

Check-in. Receptionist was in a robot mode.
Breakfast is à la carte and in the weekend there is also a buffet. Could be useful to also offer buffet on week days as many guests are in a hurry and à la carte service takes too long.

The coffee machine in consierge lounge took forever to make a cup of coffee! Couldn’t understand why they just didn’t have a ciraffe to keep from having a line waiting for a cup of coffee.

Highly recommended. Amazing hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. The room was very good and clean with a great view and a mini bar in the room. Breakfast was so delicious. We were really pleased with our stay. The staff is very good. The reception staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. Definitely will come back. Thank you for your service

Walking distance to South Station, Quincy market and many nice restaurants. Very spacious bathroom and comfy beds.
Charged 30/night amenity fee plus taxes for very little amenity. Wi-Fi was down for half day the day we checked in.
