The location is close to restaurants.
The room is a dump: peeled or scarred paints of wood work and walls, rusted bath tub, very thin walls that you can hear your neighbours, broken pavement in the parking, broken down spouts and the property gave a look of disrepair street. Tacked on cleaning and service charges which jumped up the price for the stay. The queen bed is slopping in the middle.

Newly updated bathroom. Lovely and spacious.Very clean room, staff on-site and accommodating. Great location. Great value. We will definitely return!
Just a suggestion: The bathroom could use some wall hooks for towels or necessities.

Room was extremely outdated. WiFi was very weak. Sleeping on the floor would of been more comfortable than on the mattress.

showers was only a trickle, curtains were ripped and so were the fly screens.

The room was updated in terms of flooring and bathroom amenities, however the overall Motel was very unpleasant.
We were located right on the busy street, so sleeping was a challenge and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. When paying over $250 a night for a room, you would expect a nicer hotel. I get many Motels in SLO are older basic Motels, but as a parents dropping their child off for College, I am tired of being taken advantage off. Charging $249 a night for a 2 star Motel is criminal. Your only other choice this week is paying $500-$800 for a nicer Hotel. Shameful.

The bathroom was brand new, very large and well equipped.
I was surprised there was no coffee machine in the room. It was not mentioned at check in. I didn't ask because I thought all 2 and 3 start hotels had them. The closest place to get coffee early in the morning is 7-11 which is a few minutes' drive away.

I must say I was very impressed how comfortable and clean it was, the bed was comfortable, the location was perfect I would stay again when I go back to SLO

Pleasant room, comfortable bed. On arrival I discovered the toilet didn't flush but staff sorted the problem immediately.

Great place! Good value for your money. It's within walking distance from the historic downtown where you can find good restaurant and shopping options.

Very clean:) Great location.
The sensors on the lights drove us crazy. They had a mind of their own. Would also like a full length mirror somewhere as well as hooks or shelving in the bathroom.

the location was great and the owners were very pleasant and accommodating
no formal desk which I had needed to do work. they had a round table but chairs not the right height. None of the outlets were tight enough to hold computer cord or cell charging cords without falling out. That's a huge problem. Both times I have stayed there this was an issue.
Also, because of the configuration of the parking, the noise level of people leaving at 7am was really aggravating

This hotel is very old and not well maintained. It's obvious they've tried to conceal problems with cosmetic remedies. Tile grout in the shower is missing leaving large gaps in the floor and walls. Heavy layers of paint on poorly maintained walls make problems very obvious. Room smells musty. Beds are old and uncomfortable. Carpet is old and smelly.
Location to the University is the only positive I can give this place. Place needs to be torn down and something new put up.
