All good, but not great

Several inconsistent representations re check out time Representative I spoke to a couple days before arrival about check out time was not helpful and was down right unpleasant.

The location was perfect for our visit. We were there for the hospital

The facility was not clean, our bathtub was disgusting. Our toilet overflowed and the front desk just handed us a plunger, never came up to check or get the wet towels. Our room was never serviced even after asking .

Room is always clean, staff friendly and breakfast good. Stayed many times at this property.

Have stayed at the Hampton many times before and the rooms were nice, plus the complimentary breakfast is really good.

I asked for a Queen size bed, and git a room with a double bed, the closet door was completely off and laying against the wall, we them notified the desk, and all they said was thank you for letting us know.

The staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Shower water pressure and temp was great. Most of the hotel renovations seemed to be completed. Though there isn't a closet, there are 3 hooks on which to hang coats/towels, etc. Breakfast was an average "free" breakfast. Kudos for the 24 hr coffee/hot tea station. Great hotel and reasonably priced!

The cabinet door in front of the mini fridge fell off the first time I opened it. Maybe it's so new someone forgot to put the screws on? The corner faucet in the bathroom sink (in our opinion) was poorly designed. The faucet had to be on full blast or water spilled over the back of the sink--it's also very loud. Not a deal breaker of course, just a minor irritation.

I typically give hotels excellent reviews because they deserve it. This property however is HORRIBLE! 1)Fire hazard: Two extension cords plugged into each other into a third one which was then plugged into an unsafe outlet. There wasn’t an outlet cover plate. I took a video showing it. 2) Electrical cords to blinds strung midair from window to desk lamp! 3) Should have appropriate amount of outlets. There were blank plates. 4) Mid-length BLACK hair in the bathtub & shelving. Neither of us have black hair. 5) Mold/mildew on handicap seat. Health hazard. I took a picture. 6) Carpet in continental breakfast seating area is filthy! 7) The door to our room wasn’t closed when we went to the room. My husband discovered that we had to shove open the door then slam it shut. We calmly showed the morning receptionist the pictures & our concerns. She said that the room shouldn’t have been offered & that she’d tell her manager.

The customer service was great at check-in. Check out at 6:30 am, no one at the desk, just a key drop, so did not receive my printout. The room was certainly spacious, the bed comfortable and the TV was good quality and offered plenty of options.

There are signs advising that rooms and facilities are being renovated. I certainly hope so. The room was spacious but lacked a closet or anywhere to hang up clothing. There were numerous lights but no overhead light in the room, leaving it dark. And the bathroom, while clean, is poorly designed. Bad sink with terrible faucet placement. No place for towel storage leaving the hand towels sitting around the sink and the bath towels on top of the commode. Did it ruin the stay? No. But far short of what I have come to expect from this chain.

Gwen is an excellent employee. If it was not for her I would not be able to give this hotel a good rating. Hampton Inn needs to use Gwen as an educator for new employees for customer service. She provided such incredible customer service that she made a bad situation a wonderful experience. Thank you Gwen

I DIDN’T LIKE BOOKING.COM. They almost made this experience the worst ever.

Location, we’ve stayed here a few times for appointments at ruby. Always friendly staff and very clean.
