we booked and the pictures shows the new renovated building, however we got the old, building..barely make it to the standards of safety.

Friendly, helpful staff

No restaurant at hotel. Bar was only available certain hrs not late into the night but I heard there will be a roof top bar soon.

Room was perfect the rooftop was amazing, view and the fire pits the perfect ending to our vacation. Staff was fantastic and very friendly.

The view is amazing. Vivian the hotel desk clerk was very good at her job.

The hotel is very dated and run down on the older side and did not warrant the rate we were charged. Construction began very early in the morning (7:00a.m.). We would never recommend or stay there again.

Location right on the La Jolla Cove was terrific. Easy access to the coastal walks, and one block to cafes & shopping. Great to have a one of the terrace suites up above the main hotel. Worth the lots of stairs - felt really coastal. Big terrace, more casual (yes somewhat dated) spaces. Front desk staff were great, despite hotel being very busy with a sold-out hotel during the Concours car show.

The newer part of the hotel is gorgeous! The rooms are so clean and renovated beautifully with mood lighting, nice artwork, faux plants, and modern furniture. The new beds are so comfy! The location is incredible. You can walk downstairs in the morning and grab a coffee from Parakeet Cafe in the lobby, which features amazing lattes of all kinds like rose, lavender, matcha, mushroom, and tumeric. Then you can stroll across the street to take in the most stunning views of La Jolla’s coves, cliffs, and dramatic landscape beaches. It’s incredible! The cherry on top are all of the seals and sea lions that live in the cove. I saw so many babies!! Was adorable! If you are sensitive to sound, you may want to bring earplugs to sleep. It didn’t really bother me though.

Beautiful location, beautiful view! Comfortable rooms, quiet.

Pictures showed an updated suite, ours was not and had a really strong musty smell.

The location is fantastic! RIGHT across the street from the walk along the ocean and the park. You can even hear the seals and sea lions at night.

The staff, receptionist were very friendly!

The staff were very helpful even though there were billing issues. Had hot water issues but the wonderful staff moved me to a lovely ocean view room, thanks Vivi and the maintenance man for responding so quickly.
