nice and very clean and everyone is so nice

We were meeting other family members there. When I went to check in, reception told me I did not have a reservation. I showed her my confirmation number through booking.com. She said it was not a good confirmation number. She told me I needed to call booking.com and look for another hotel that they were booked. I explained we drove 4 hours and we're meeting family . She said there was nothing she could do that it was booing..com who make the mistake. We spent 30 min looking for another hotel all we're booked. Finally my son got there to check in argued with her about our reservation, all of a sudden she said she found our reservation. It was so awful I had a blood pressure attack. The hotel never apologized. The hotel was nice, the pool was very cold. But the checkin experience was a nightmare.

The room was clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast was plentiful and good. The website indicated the hotel had a restaurant and bar, which it didn’t. We chose the hotel because we were driving and wanted to relax once at the hotel. We were disappointed to learn the hotel closed the restaurant two years ago and didn’t update their website.

Sauna not working . Swimming pool NOT heated as front desk receptionist indicated.

Like any other Holiday Inn franchise, we love the modern lay out and fixtures used in lobby & room. Clean, comfy and spacious with great room lighting. Comfy beds and linens. The multi-purpose bench/ luggage holder is always useful for us. The extra seating in theroom is very much appreciated. I love their eco-friendly toiletry dispensers. Offered a great hot breakfast on their spacious lobby.  Strong wifi and cable TV channels.

We are not sure how or why but we can hear every noise everywhere from our room including people in the hallway, footsteps,highway traffic etc. We had to put extra towels on the bottom of the door but it didn't help. The doors were all heavy. The bathroom door won't stay open when we want to. Not sure if there is air vent so we wanted to keep it open.  The closet doesn't need the 2 doors, the space is too tight between the bathroom door & closet door. I accidentally got hit by the bulky door in the back and geez, it hurts! Sliding doors could have worked for limited space.  They are using magnetic card for doors and access - it's a pain in the b***. RF is way to go now! Kitchenette is too small. Refrigerator is weak ( RV type) and small. The veggie compartment was missing. Didn't even bother to replace it and no freezer - definitely not meant for longer stay.

The refurbishment at the hotel inside and outside is a total success. Lobby was functional and light. Bedroom and bathroom very good.

My only comment would be about the older and noisy heating/cooling unit under the window. Unfortunately we had to leave the hotel at 5am and missed out on breakfast.
