The motel is located just outside Great Barrington with a nice view of Monument Mountain. It is quiet, even though located on Route 7, and is decorated in a fun retro style. Check-in was contactless and easy.

The shower was luke-warm (at best). The cost was relatively high for the modest room.

Breakfast was great and Rhonda was very friendly and helpful.

The shower could have been hotter.

Really lovely motel with beautiful grounds. Room was attractive and comfortable. Super dog friendly which is why I picked it!!

if I had to pick on them … well let’s just say I lost the fight I picked with the window shades!

Furniture was old. TV cable was terrible. No sports Rug was filthy.

It’s not clean - there is dog hair everywhere in the room. Thankfully the bed sheets were clean - but everything else - quite suspect. The rooms smell like old wet dog, and the room itself is dilapidated - everything needs updating - the blinds are broken, the toilet paper holder fell off the wall.

Location was excellent and the breakfast deal at Red Lion was wonderful.

Very no frills. Decor very basic. Picture on Booking.com made it look like an inn not a motel. The outdoor property itself is not appealing. The price was too high. Because of Covid we didn’t really feel particularly welcomed.

Location was great for a hike on Monument Mountain. Breakfast vouchers for the sister property were great. They have contactless check-in where they text the room code to get in.

No bathroom counter space. Shower was a half door and got the floor all wet. The shower head needs to be descaled as the water pressure is super low. The water was either scalding hot or lukewarm. It was nearly impossible to get a comfortable shower temperature. The window locks didn't work and fell off when trying to close and lock the window which were all left open when we arrived. The TV was smaller than my computer monitor. The outlets were not in convenient locations and half didn't seem to work. Insufficient lighting in the unit overall.

This place wins all the prizes! This is a small, super casual motel in an incredibly beautiful setting, under ten minutes drive from either Great Barrington or Stockbridge. The manager Rhonda is a delight, going out of her way to make sure we had delicious breakfasts, plus filling us in on the special discount we could receive in the restaurants at the sister property, the Red Lion Inn. She is the one who has made sure this is a truly dog-friendly motel - there are NO PET FEES! The coded door locks were really convenient, much better than having to scramble looking for a key. We had a fine time at the fire pit making our s'mores (all ingredients supplied by Rhonda) and telling stories. Every person we met staying there was friendly and easy to talk to, a rare pleasure during this atrocious pandemic. We are already discussing when we can go back!

A couple more pillows on the bed would be nice. Our stay was too short!

Breakfast great for a motel and location is a plus. Also great yard for dogs. Shower water pressure is amazing!!

Carpets stained and tiny rooms

Older cleaned-up motor lodge. Beds felt small, are they double?

Easy to access, great communication with the owner. Clean and comfortable. And you can’t beat the price for the area! Excellent hike just across the street

Tv didn’t work

It is a “on road” lodge. Perfect location. Beds are super comfortable. Linens seemed clean. All check in and out process was done via text. A 12USD voucher is available for breakfast in a hotel 5min away and it is a super decent budget for a good breakfast (enough for tea, fruits, eggs and toast). Windows are good enough so road noise isn’t a problem while sleeping.

The shower wasn’t so good but at least water was hot. Bath a little outdated with some cracks in the floor and “yellow-wish” walk in shower but all seemed clean. Carpet also had some dirty appearance (perhaps old). Acoustic between rooms isn’t good so it’s possible to listen people talking in the other room yet our “neighbours” weren’t noisy and we had a good night of sleep. Yet, all in all it is a highly recommended place for a good night of sleep.

Staff was friendly and kind. Gas fire pit outside made for a nice evening chat to occur with other guests. Breakfast vouchers at the Red Lion Inn was a nice touch. The garden was very pretty as well.

One window shade was tricky and rolled up on its own until we got it in the right spot.

The place was dirty and smelly, crust in the coffee machine and extremely unclean…plugs everywhere exposed and unkept…..it was marketed as wonderful….just the opposite…expensive and filthy

The location is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast at Red Lion was wonderful.

I needed to be up and out early and so waited for the 0730 office opening to get the vouchers for breakfast only to find that there were no vouchers (it was electronic) and I could have departed earlier without waiting. . Also, no coffee in the room. Boohoo

This is a gem of a spot with clean and stylish rooms. Fire pit and hammock. Relaxing spot. Rhonda is an exceptional host, truly welcoming and caring. The dog friendliness abounds and elevates the experience for us! Thank you ! We will be back!
