The breakfast was fine very basic and limited. The room was a decent size but most amenities were outdated.
We just stayed for 2 nights in the summer, off-season but everything about the visit was substandard. The vending machines did not work or when you could find one it only accepted coins, the credit card readers were offline, Had a fire alarm go off all morning on Sunday at 6:30AM, no direction from staff regarding what to do or if everything was all clear. The impression I was left with after having to see if we were clear to go back in was that this happens often. The strobe lights kept flashing until I finally just left at 9. They seem very understaffed and not on top of anything.

Breakfast was good.
We seemed to be in the "older" section of the hotel. Just seemed worn-down.
3.5
Good to have full breakfast included in room rate. Would like to have had granola or oatmeal as well as little boxes of dry cereal.

The breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful
The room was in the basement - the vending machine was not well stocked - the restaurant was not open so we had to walk to dinner

Breakfast was great!

location
facility is old and very dated. Our bath room had disabled bathroom with a sink without a place to allow for place to rest toiletries. The worst part was shower which yo were required to use handheld shower head. Ridiculous, u less you had a helper to shampoo your hair and apply soap to your face.
2.5
Coffee was empty and some of the items in the buffet needed to be replaced in a more expeditious manner.

Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. Staff was super helpful. I enjoyed the dinner buffet and the bartender was nice. The checkin staff also allowed me a late checkout. Thanks!
3.5
Breakfast was very good, however if you could improve on making sure you do not run out of items and that the coffee is always full I think that would be all you need to do to make it an exceptional experience.
I was put in a handicap room even though I did not ask for one.
4.5
Everything was fantastic. I only have two little complaints.
No fridge in room to keep beer cold. (would freeze in car)
Radiator had air pockets so it was very loud at night

Stratton is a great resort. Family friendly. Skiable runs for all. Guest services know what they are doing.
It is a little bouchie for me. I like the mountain and resort. I just try to ignore the effluent upper class better than you society types. However, I can't truly complain as it is a safer environment for families. You take the good with the bad. Each resort has it's own vibe. Killington is truly the beast. Stratton is more refined, Magic Mtn is old school laid back, lacking newer amenities, Mt. Snow is a mix of something, Jay Peak is like being in the French Alps, Sugarbush like Stratton with better steeps, Stowe is Stratton on steroids, Smuggs is family all the way with some great old school expert runs, Bromley is family more chill than Stratton, Honestly, they all have pros and cons. I am there to ski for the most part. The rest is just outside noise I laugh at. It all depends on the individuals tastes. The beauty of it is, you can mix it up and change the scenery if you get bored at one place. Here we come NH for more variety. Then Maine. Then out west. Endless possibilities if you have the time and funds!

close to Stratton Mountain and eateries however limited
needs to be updated. it was a bit worn down which means it needs an update on decor and carpet

Check in, and check out.
The hotel is run down and not being kept up. The only ice maker working was on the far side two landings up. This said, there are very few restaurants open due to COVID-19, including the one that was located in the Lodge, which is closed. So why is there NO refrigerator or microwave in any of the rooms. There is the Village restaurants that are there primarily to push drinks on their patriots, which most of them are there for. So when they get back to their rooms, they are loud, obnoxious, brutish, and did I say loud. The one in the room above use banged around furniture all night and shot off fire works from their window. So to sum it up: run down, no room amenities, loud drunk guess, and unfriendly staff.
