Staff was very friendly. Room cleaners were friendly and very efficient. Beach amenities (lounge chairs, beach chairs, towels) were appreciated. Coffee/tea bar was enjoyed. Location to beach and town was excellent. King size bed/mattress was very comfortable.

I thought the upgrade price for ocean view was a little steep. Other than coffee there were no breakfast treats. Minor complaint: the toilet paper was poor quality, and the towels were thick but in need of fabric softener. I also had difficulty with the room lock which needs to be replaced, IMO.

The room was immaculate, each staff member we met was not only professional and courteous but genuinely friendly and concerned. The views are beautiful and the location is very convenient.We walked to the lighthouse and the pier everyday and of course, the beach. The town is just a 5 minute ride and can easily be walked to as well. My only wish would be that they could groom their beach. It was covered with kelp and sea grass.

Good location overlooking an inner bay. Very well maintained property. Some of the outdoor furniture needs updating. Prime real estate.

Booking accepted our reservations but failed to advise us that we needed to change rooms EVER day to continue our stay.

location was exceptional! cleanliness was GREATLY appreciated. the staff were very friendly nice lawn to gather with family in other rooms kitchenette had great accessories lots of hangers seals were a cool site

the room was cramped. distance to car was not the best, when unloading our car. seals scared me of sharks...;o/

View is amazing, the beach being right there and very clean

Extremely overpriced for what we got.

The Hawthorne was recommended to us by a couple we met the previous evening. The views are amazing with a direct view over the beach to the ocean. The rooms are a good size with large beds. The location is perfect for a short walk into Chatham where there are plenty of nice bars, restaurants and shops. Parking is plentiful and great to leave the car whilst one walks into town. The short walk to the fishing pier is well worth the effort as there's lots of seals to see.

The rooms are basic, but functional. The bathrooms feel a little dated but are very clean and functional for its purpose. We heard some noise during the evening of our stay and couldn't be sure whether it was a neighbour or a nearby wedding party in a gazebo down the beach. This was minor though and the overall grounds and location are very pretty.

Location was within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. View of the ocean from our r was beautiful and the walk down to the beach was very nice.

Decent sized room, clean, comfortable beds, great view. Beach area was clean and good view from that area. Close to downtown Chatham and convenient for travel around the Cape area.

Next to beach and affordable in a very expensive area. Extremely clean. Excellent staff.

I thought w the conversation on the phone all rooms had an ocean view or partial, parking lot not great location. The bathroom super small, no where to put anything down. Love being close to Chatham bars and town. I think a little something in the lobby would be nice, ie, coffee with cream, the pkgs of coffee fixers cheap, the whitener didnt even change the color of coffee. The taxes ridiculous on the room fee, just throw it in to the price so the customer doesnt have a surprise with the bill. I think ive said enough,
