Pretty good access to airport.
Elevator was not well maintained. Exercise equipment was broken in the fitness room. Room was small for four people.

I liked the room, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast choices were a great start to the day.
The one disappointing thing that I experienced was that when I booked my room through Booking.com, my reservation and confirmation number could not be found in the hotels system. The staff at the hotel ended up having to rebook me, which had cost me some additional money.

The front desk staff were awesome - so friendly and helpful. The bed was super super comfortable. Breakfast was just what we wanted.
The room smelled bad.
The bed had a very loud squeak when you got in and out.
Room cleaning/towel service was unpredictable and poor - I was constantly at the front desk asking for more towels and toiletries.
Pool and hot tub were in an unappealing state of disrepair.

The pile of trash/dirty blanket we found on top of the closet. The stained mattress cover. The dirty sock under the desk that didn't belong to us.

Location is convenient to restaurants and market. The room is spacious.
The staff is mostly away on the desk especially late at night. I checked in late and couldn't find a staff anywhere. I have to wait around and have to go find them.
It would be nice to have a refrigerator and smart TV.

The booking was not done right online so there was a mix up at check in. The ladies at the front desk did everything they could to make sure our stay was good. No issues. Not their fault.

We are late risers and the 6 to 9 breakfast is just a little too early for us when traveling. Wish it could have lasted till 10 so we could sleep in. The outlets in the lamps are loose and need fixed.

The breakfast was good. There were a variety of things to choose from. The location was good. It was walking distance to eating establishments.
The bed was firmer than I was used to. The concrete in the pool and spa was rough. You could easily scrape yourself.

They were out of everything for breakfast and we didn't really get anything. Even if you don't clean the room I still think you should put towels in the room or on the level of your room to grab.

Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Especially Mya she answered all of our questions and concerns! We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Des Moines area.
The only complaint we really have was the pool area. There chlorine levels were so high that it was unbearable to sit in that area without your eyes burning.

they were hosting a party in one of the banquet rooms on the first floor and our room was on the second floor. There clearly isn’t adequate sound dampening materials because we could clearly hear everything the DJ said and all the music being played. we spoke to one of the staff about the noise and were told that he had warned the people hosting the party two previous times about excessive noise and that he’d warn them again, but couldn’t do anything else. very frustrating
