The location was lovely, with large garden and spacious accommodation.

The kitchen was very dirty, it took us over an hour to clean up before we could feel OK about eating or drinking. There was a dead mouse on the kitchen floor.

The house is amazing and has lots of lovely homely touches. A real home from home and you can tell the owners really care that you have a great experience. Thank you to the owner for their attention to detail. Pre-arrival instructions were clear. The house was ready for us on arrival. Instructions for appliances available. Local information about the local area was carefully put together. Little touches of kitchen condiments available, supplied tea towels and washing up liquid and cleaning products too if you needed them. Our time here was excellent and I would highly recommend staying here. Our grandson (3) just loved the attic room it was where he just love to go and play, With some games and jigsaws available. In the rooms there are many books of lots of different subjects and reading books for everyone. Wifi available too. Covid regulations meant a 9am time to vacate the property was given - I assume to give long enough to clean, however we did not experience having to rush off bang on 9am - it wasn't much later than 9 a.m. but we felt relaxed as we left. We definitely want to book again for a future visit!!

Need to take own towels - I do get why (just had to remember them!!) Previous visitor had left a dirty tray in the oven - this didn't distract from our great experience of this property.

The property had so much character and was well equipped. It was extremely clean and was cosy and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and bed linen was cosy and warm.

Possible improvements on the main bathroom required to add a full shower

Great place

Lovely ‘lived in’ feel to the cottage, we especially liked the sunny conservatory overlooking the garden. A great location and very friendly pub with good food next door. The caretaker was very helpful.

We would have liked a better shower in the main bathroom and fixed to the wall to make hair washing easier.
