Very nice accomodations. Bed was comfy, kitchen was well appointed (chairs around table were not comfortable), spacious. The room opens to the swimming pool, which was lovely. Parking right outside. Pool was warm, but not too warm. Close to beach. BBQ grills available by pool. Really appreciated laundry on site. Beach chairs provided. Small, intimate place - cozy. Vanity area outside toilet/shower was very nice. Tub is dated, but really -- who cares if you have a nice, hot shower -- no complaints. Not a quick one, but a walk to a nice cafe and ice cream shop nearby -- probably 15-minute walk. I liked that it was not in a high-tourist area -- so it was quiet and away from crowds and activity. Beach is lovely.

This is not on the water and no view of the ocean. There is a path to follow to get there. They do offer beach wagons, but again, first-come, first served. The path and short walk is not bad, but do not expect ocean views. Window coverings are the verticle slat-type blinds on the sliding glass door to the pool. One or 2 would always fall off. Until we futzed with it a bit, we couldn't close it tightly enough to keep light out at night. Biggest frustration was nobody on site to answer questions. Very much self-serve. There were moments when we were frustrated by that. We didn't know, for example, that beach umbrellas were available - first come, first served. A few other times we had questions, but ended up figuring it out on our own. Plan ahead if you want to use kayaks - have to fill out a waiver, which can be a challenge if nobody in the office. When we first arrived, we'd had a long drive and wanted to watch a little TV -- cable wasn't on for us, which we didn't have until next afternoon. And internet access is not always the greatest. There were signs posted all around the room, which I understand I guess, but not necessarily a warm and friendly atmosphere from hosts. Not necessarily a negative; pool is in the middle of all of the rooms. So you will likely be engaged in socializing with the others at the motel -- not ALL bad -- but sometimes a little uncomfortable.

Clean room, nice and small property, quiet position, ideal if you do not like large crowds, lovely warm pool, extras such as beach chairs, umbrellas and a buggy to transport to the beach. Lovely bed linen and comfy pillows. Receptionist very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed my stay.

Beds a little too high to get on to easily, bathroom small and the bath could do with an update but the shower over the bath worked well.

Very nice and cozy property. Friendly staff. Full equipped kitchen. Beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and kajaks for free. Nice and clean pool. Wifi was fast.

I liked the size of the Banyan suite. I thought the pool was well-maintained and at a comfortable temperature. The amenities in the suite were all very nice, especially the big refrigerator with a full freezer and an ice-maker. Appreciated the dishwashing liquid and the cutlery, glasses, plates, bowls, pots, and pans. The beach was a bit of a hike but not too far.

Only wished that there had been a more modern chest of drawers in the bedroom for folded clothes, socks, and underwear.

Rented the Banyan Room, everytime we used the toaster it set off the smoke alarm. Toast had not even started to brown.

First impression was not great- exterior looks like an old motel. But the room was nice, clean, large and exactly as advertised. Beach access is across the street and down a path, a bit of a walk but fine. Even the condos "on the beach" were in fact set quite a ways back. It is on a road parallel to the main road, which was a great location to avoid the very heavy traffic on the main road.

Only minor negative is there is no on-site staff. The management is at another property. One time we thought we had lost a key and that could have been a problem with no one there to address the issue. And sitting outside the room is not great, either looking at the small parking lot or the street. Or if inside at the pool side, looking at other's rooms (and they at you).

The beach is close by. The laundry facilities came in handy for us and were nearby. Having a reserved parking spot was quite handy. If you intend to avoid the internet at all costs during your stay, then this is the place for you! (The lack of service was annoying).

They have limited office hours and make it clear that they’d rather not be bothered by anyone while they’re there. The WiFi was barely useable during our entire stay. We had to sit at the table in order to check our email since the connection would fail if we moved from that spot. We’d hoped to watch a show through streaming service before bedtime, but that was impossible. They shouldn’t advertise internet access, at least not for the unit where we stayed.

This is a small well-appointed inn, with a large studio room, and a small kitchenette-bathroom wing. A picnic table serves for a desk as well as dining. The location is on the quiet side of the bridge, close to the Sanibel Ice Cream and Chocolate shop with a fabulous French bakery there. It was even better than the three other great French bakeries we went to on our trip. The Napoleans were my favorite, though the Wedding Cookies and the Macarons and the Blondies with chocolate chips and the ice cream were favorites too.

We did not choose a low tide morning time date. That is what I would recommend, then drive through the DING National Wildlife Refuge and take lots of photos. This year had only a small percentage of birds we saw in warmer weather 5 years ago.
