Great house, amazing host and really good location. It was our second time there and we’re definitely going back 😊

Second time at the property and would definitely recommend. Fab location, lovely flat walks into Barmouth. House is clean and has everything you need. The owners are very friendly and willing to help you make the most out of your stay. Open fire place and hot tub make it an even more enjoyable stay. No matter what the weather there’s lots of entertainment provided for all the family in the house. Feels like a home from home.

Lovely Bugalow and Location would have given it Five Stars but regrettably let down by the Heating and Hot Water Services…Left uncomfortable in the Evenings and failed to provide a Bathful of Water.

We had a lovely week at the cottage. The area is beautiful with sandy beaches and mountains. The weather was quite variable when we stayed but there was plenty of things to do locally and we enjoyed the hot tub!

Great little cottage, dogs loved it and we loved the location. Wish we could have stayed longer as so much to go and do in the area. Had the most amazing time and the cottage was just like home, we enjoyed getting back to it at the end of the day 👍☀️

Property is in a lovely, peaceful location with some nice views. A walk down to the welcoming pub in Friog is worth it - they serve some great food and Ale! Trips out to Barmouth and the Lakes definitely worth it for some fresh air and pictures. Cottage was in generally good order, well located and good value for money. Owner was excellent throughout and communicated everything perfectly to us. Hot Tub was an added perk and the gardens were lovely and private.

The cottage had everything needed to relax and rest after long climbs and walks and was clean and well presented. We had a great stay here with our dog and regret not staying longer.

We liked the property and it's layout. It was warm, and we liked the kitchen/dining area and living room and the furniture.
The hot tub is nice touch.
There are some small things that we personally feel could be tweaked -
We left early as my partner and I struggled with sleeping on the mattresses and were not getting any decent sleep which really ruined the holiday for us. So while that's a personal thing I feel that maybe the type of mattress (foam type I think?) could be reviewed or at least a a thick mattress topper could be supplied. so visitors had the choice to put it on. Same for the bunk beds.
The fridge freezer did not get as cold as we expected and hoped for - maybe that is because it did not have a lot of items in it, but we had it turned to the highest setting but it did not get as cold as our one at home on half the setting - both the same make.
The shower was a disappointment - it is not that powerful.
The property was clean and pleasant, but it could do with a spring clean behind the furniture.
The chests of drawers in each bedroom are stiff to open - they need to be easier for older people and for people with arthritis in their hands as my partner has.
The bedding seemed a little old and tired? We think the bottom sheet was new as my partner saw a label on it - but ideally it should have been washed beforehand to get the 'newness' out of it and make it feel softer.
Also some new/plumper pillows would be good.
If you take dogs, then, if they are like mine and a bit stupid!, be aware that there is not any fencing around the edges and so they may jump down from some height, on to hard surfaces. Some picket fencing would be a good idea.
A padlock on the side gate would be welcome.
Fairbourne itself, is quiet - to be fair we did visit out of season, but there did not seem much that would be open in season. My fault for not checking what was close by.
The walk to Barmouth is nice, though can be windy on the bridge so wrap up warm!
The hills behind are stunning for walking. It showed how unfit we are!
The locals were very friendly - surprisingly a lot were English!

We had a wonderful week away.
The whole family enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed very long walks along the beach, taking in the breath taking scenery for hours during the day and rested our tired bones in the lovely hot tub when back at the house.
A great, relaxing break for all the family ❤️

We stayed here just for the weekend, but we wished we had booked for longer.
Such a lovely, comfortable little cottage. We both loved how cosy the lounge was and enjoyed playing some of the old vinyls on the ‘Dansette’ record player 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The hot tub was amazing, we were lucky enough to have a clear night to enjoy the stars.
We can thoroughly recommend this place, Eloise the host was perfect, thank you for the Prosecco 🥂🥂

Booking easy. Great communication from owners. Very helpful with all aspects. Everything seems to have been well thought through in the cottage and the gardens. Hot tub was a delight and a great bonus. Cottage warm. Beds comfy. Local area great if you don't like lots of noise, people or hussle. Local pub friendly and food was good. Other areas accessible. We went in January so lots of shops etc closed but we still loved having places to ourselves including miles of beaches! Thank you Eloise & Mark for allowing others to share this place.

Wife and three kids had a great time here. Lovely cozy cottage with great views of snowcapped hills. Hot tub was great and the open/log fire was really nice after returning from walks down to the beach. Everything was clean and simple to use and the beds were very comfortable.
Kids were happy that there was an xbox to play on and the vintage record player was fun. We had take away from the local chippy and Sunday roast at the George III pub/Hotel nearby which was really good. Took a drive into Barmouth for a look around too...very picturesque. All in all a fantastic place to stay.

The second time we have stayed here, the views are amazing, loads to do what ever the weather. Cottage was so homely, lots of activities to do if you wanted to stay in. Clean, tidy and everything you need for a place to stay. Our children had a lovely time, loved the garden and so calming for our oldest as he is autistic. We highly recommend to our friends and family. Looking to stay again very very soon. Thank you.

The bungalow was very clean & well maintained. Had all the necessary kitchen equipment. The X box, games, DVD's & books were a good addition. Loved the record player, we listened to records from the varied selection on offer. We picked the property for the hot tub & enclosed garden (for the dog) & weren't disappointed by either. Although the lighting could have been better at the top were the hot tub is. As the nights were drawing in it was difficult to see around that area.

Absolutely fantastic time getting away. Nice, quiet and secluded. Daughter and her wife went on plenty of walks into the mountains and loved it. Dark skies, so see plenty of stars.

This is a clean, well presented property. It has a lovely homely feel and is well furnished. My 4 stars for accuracy of listing were because I hadn't anticipated quite such a steep garden. I suffer from arthritis and find climbing steps a little more difficult. The 4 stars for communication were because I didn't hear from the owner until I was actually leaving my house! I could have phoned but it would have been good to have had a chance to ask about basic provisions I needed to take with me before I left home. There was a bottle of Prosecco left in the fridge...but nothing to tell us it was for us...so I left it! No problem was serious and didn't affect our enjoyment at all! My last comment is that the lock on the front door was extremely stiff and difficult to use and definitely needs attention. Thank you to the owners.
