We definitely needed more glasses, maybe a few wine glasses especially.

If you are looking for a house with huge space, close to Addo, without having other demands, than this is your place.

There were multiple things which bothered us, we have to explain. First of all, the house was all but clean. There were multiple spider rags, everywhere. Dust all over the place. Kitchen was grease all over. There was mould in the coffee maker, and so on. Ants were walking all over the place and there were some coackroaches we had to doom away. Last but not least, our previous guests had long, black hair since we found many of those hairs in the bathroom and on our sheets. Shower door in one of the bathrooms did not function as water was spilt all over the floor. One of the AC's was not working, as there was no remote. It can get extremely hot near Addo, so nightrest was a bit disturbed of the heat and we even slept in the living room to be in the cold. The place is not child friendly. First of all, because it is not clean and you do not want your child getting caught by spiders, ants and coackroaches. Second of all, the house has a lot of glass furniture and model cars and shells all over. Luckily, nothing broke, but we had to keep the kids guarded. Moreover, the garden is totally open to the river. Other people are wandering around, making a complete mess with rubbish and bottles of alcohol, which they break when throwing away. Don't walk with bare feet and dont let children play there. Our conclusion is that the place has high potential, but lack of maintenance and care last years made it the place it wasn't the one before. Our strong suggestion is to repair and look after all the elektronics, to make it spotless clean and store all cars and shells away. It is a holiday home, not one to live in. It can truly be the place Grant should be proud of again!

Beautiful home with a great view . Very spacious and modern. Close to the shop. Grant the home owner took good care of us and made sure we knew where everything was. My family really enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit this place again.

Stunning place. Lots of space

Spacious for large groups, but short on cutlery and kitchen utensils for large groups, many fixtures were broken and some walls need to be cleaned for hygienic purposes in the bathrooms.

Its been almost a week since we have been there and I have held back these comments. We have travelled vastly abroad as well as in SA using booking.com never had any issues. We were so appalled by how Grant Du Perez, the owner and host treated us when we arrived. Welcoming guests is with good intentions but not the way he “Mansplained” the usual things of a house as if we were delinquent’s and incompetent, leaving there stating quite passive-aggressively “Leave the house tidy hey!” as if we were a bunch of teenagers after stating that my family including grandparents will be joining. We are professionals about to enjoy a family vacation. What upset us was that the house is advertised as a 6 bedroom place, after counting the beds realizing it can sleep up to 15 people. We did not mind having to pay EXTRA when we arrived, it was the way my invoice appeared stating I had paid for the entire house. When enquiring with Grant over the phone to just confirm and stating as a guest that he should perhaps change the description on booking.com to not confuse people, he abruptly stated “I am obviously not getting through to you and I will come through from PE to the house and lock up the extra rooms because I cannot get through to you” Again, money was not the issue, it’s how he treated us as guests made us feel as if we delinquent’s and incompetent to understand.

Shower window without curtain upstairs; glass bathroom door without curtain in side room Carpets very dirty, freezer shelves sticky Countertops very high - not comfortable for average sized people Shower heads very high for average sized people Only one normal sized cereal bowl At least one of the life jackets couldn't be tied.

The place by far met our expectations, owner met us on arrival and made us feel welcome.Gave us a tour and explained all.Very very spacious and had all that was needed when we booked in, was a vacation enjoyed by the whole family

Property lacking maintenance - half shower door missing, main bedroom en suite resulting in soaking floor after shower and bathroom sliding door unable to close. Vertical blinds broken. Sliding patio doors in main bedroom inoperable. Hole in bottom of brain pan.

We were a big family group, the venue is super, close to the shops was a bonus. The owner Grant was very friendly and made us feel as if we were home.Will recommend this venue 100%
