Hilary and John were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was spotlessly clean. Will definitely return.

Lovely B&B, superbly run by Hilary and John. Our room was delightful, with everything you need for a perfect stay. Breakfast was spot on. Very generous portions provided and beautifully cooked by Hilary. She went the extra mile to get us smoked haddock. They extended their welcome to our dog, who had a cooked sausage every morning for her breakfast. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Would not hesitate to recommend Summat Else to everyone.

Hilary was the perfect host. She was so welcoming and the room we stayed in was very comfy, clean and a great size. The tea tray was like nothing I've ever seen, so many choices! The bathroom was gorgeous and everything is newly decorated. There is even a fridge in the communal area with cold water and milk. Breakfast the next day had everything you could wish for and all cooked fresh by Hilary. She even gave us some snacks for our days walking. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if was in the area.

From start to end, our time at Summat Else was nothing but sensational. Hilary communicated with us before traveling to ensure she was catering to all our needs and even allowed us to arrive early due to a travel mix-up and the room was already ready. The property is very well decorated and has a lovely 'homely' feel to it. We were in Room 1 which was a double room at the end of the upstairs. The room was very modern and had plenty of storage space for both of us. There was a TV mounted to the wall with a DVD player available. The bathroom was very modern and we were provided with anything we could have possibly needed, including plenty of towels and toilet roll. Although we aren't hot drink lovers, there were plenty of choices available if you were, including tea, coffee, and hot chocolate along with biscuits. We had a partial sea view too which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was absolutely to die for, with plenty of cooked and continental options available. Hilary freshly cooked the breakfast each morning, cooking to your wants, and allowed plenty of time and even had a chat with you over breakfast, which was nice. We met John on a few occasions too and he was just as welcoming, as it was a nice treat to see their dog also. Hilary was also full of lots of recommendations for New Quay and the surrounding areas, all of which lived up to expectations! The actual property itself is situated away from the busy atmosphere of the town centre, making it a very peaceful location, overlooking the opposite caravan park. There is plenty of parking available at no extra charge, which is a blessing when visiting a seaside town like New Quay. The property is about a 15-20 minute walk from the town centre (including a rather steep hill to walk up on the way back), but in the event of you not wanting to walk, there is a bus route available just outside the property, heading to the t
